Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

Seeing that everything had more or less settled down, I nodded to myself.

'Well, I think after all this, I deserve a moment to relax,' I thought as I stretched.

My gaze then landed on the only empty armchair in the room, and a smile immediately appeared on my face.

'Time to enjoy this brief moment of peace,' I headed straight for it.

That armchair was larger than the others, with soft, plush padding, along with a clean and elegant finish. It was easily the best one in the entire Common Room.

And its location only made it even better.

It was strategically positioned in the best spot in the room. Close enough to the fireplace to keep a pleasant warmth, but far enough away not to turn into an oven.

On top of that, it was also near Ravenclaw's private library and the entrance, with a perfect view of the entire Common Room.

Basically, the perfect spot.

'My baby... I missed you so much,' I thought, almost emotional, as I slowly ran my hand along the armrest.

'I really hope none of these rude and smelly Ravenclaws bothered you while I was gone.'

Using my Magic Vision and enhanced eyesight, I carefully inspected my personal armchair. After confirming that nobody had sat on it or even touched it, I nodded in satisfaction.

Then, just as I was about to throw myself onto it and finally relax, I felt a slight fluctuation in my empathic ability.

It was extremely subtle.

That fluctuation had been caused by a brief wave of emotions passing through my senses — so faint that it had almost gone unnoticed.

Surprised — and a little curious — I stopped mid-motion and discreetly glanced around the Common Room.

Without drawing attention, I allowed my abilities to expand, covering the entire room within seconds.

My Empathy manifested more actively, sweeping across every Ravenclaw present.

Almost instantly, a flood of emotions started flooding my senses with far greater intensity and clarity.

Right after that, my passive Legilimency kicked in as well, filling in the gaps that emotions alone couldn't explain.

And then, with the combination of those two abilities, everything became clear.

I could feel practically everything coming from those students.

The obvious feelings and thoughts... and also the ones they were trying to hide, deny, or suppress.

First came nervousness and uncertainty.

Not far behind came anxiety, restlessness, and doubt, silently growing inside those Ravens.

But thankfully, not everything was negative.

Mixed into that emotional mess were several positive — or at least encouraging — feelings as well, like determination, loyalty, and genuine concern.

And those, in particular, were mostly coming from my friends.

Which honestly wasn't surprising at all.

But what truly caught my attention was what I felt right after that.

Mixed in among that chaotic mess of emotions, almost hidden away, were a few different feelings... and some that were a little more concerning.

One of them was curiosity — which, to be fair, was pretty understandable.

Another was interest.

That was already a little strange... but still acceptable.

But then came anticipation... excitement... and even admiration.

And that?

That was a problem.

Those emotions, on their own, were normal and even common. Especially coming from teenagers.

But feeling them right after a stressful conversation about Voldemort, war, and possible deaths made everything feel deeply wrong.

My eyes slowly swept across the room without anyone noticing while I carefully filtered through those sensations.

'...So I'm not just being paranoid,' I thought, without letting my expression change.

There weren't many of them... but there also weren't few enough to ignore.

Some students weren't frightened by the possibility of Voldemort's return.

They were fascinated by it... and even happy.

My gaze discreetly passed over some of them, committing their faces to memory.

'Potential supremacists... or at least leaning in that direction,' I concluded, narrowing my eyes slightly.

'Maybe some of them even became Death Eaters in the original timeline.'

And honestly? I wasn't even that surprised.

Ravenclaw obviously wasn't a house filled only with geniuses and scholars.

In less than a century, the wizarding world had already produced two absurdly dangerous Dark Lords, along with hundreds — maybe thousands — of dark wizards.

That made me realize something pretty simple:

Just like genius witches and wizards were born every year, completely fucked-up and horrible people were born too.

And if you stopped to think about it, becoming a dark wizard was way easier and far more likely than becoming a genius.

After all, for someone to be considered a genius, they needed incredible talent in some field of magic.

But to be considered a dark wizard?

Well... you just had to be a piece of shit.

And according to my extremely advanced and totally scientific calculations, there were way more shitty assholes in the world than geniuses.

Taking that into account, the chances of students like that existing in Ravenclaw were pretty high.

Ravenclaw had always been seen as the house of intelligence and logic, but that never meant everyone there was a good person.

Intelligence and a thirst for knowledge weren't used only for studying, researching, or improving the world.

There were also people who used those things in colder, more calculating, and far more dangerous ways.

There was a reason Ravenclaw was often seen as Slytherin's "sister house."

But in my opinion, Ravenclaw's traits were way more compatible with dark wizards than Slytherin's were.

The only reason Slytherin produced more people like that — vile, disgusting bastards — was because that house practically encouraged prejudice and cruelty from an early age.

Far more than it encouraged ambition or cunning.

But in the end, the idea that evil came from only one house had always been way too simplistic.

Way too naive.

Still... none of that mattered that much anymore.

Now I was here.

With my abilities, spotting potentially dangerous people was ridiculously easy.

And that information alone already had enormous value for the coming war.

Knowing which of my classmates might eventually align themselves with Voldemort gave me a huge advantage.

I could keep an eye on those people. Manipulate them if necessary, or use them to my advantage.

Or I could simply... eliminate the problem before it grew.

Thinking about that, my expression didn't change, but my eyes became slightly colder for a brief moment.

'Well... maybe dear Voldy will end up with a few less soldiers in the future,' I thought mercilessly.

And I definitely didn't intend to stop with Ravenclaw.

I was absolutely going to investigate the students from the other three houses too.

I would separate the innocent ones from those showing dangerous tendencies.

And yes, that included Slytherin.

Although, in that case, I'd probably have to search for the very few who were still decent people.

Pushing that thought aside for now, I looked back at the Ravenclaws.

All it took was a single glance for me to realize that none of those potentially dangerous students were part of my close circle of friends or housemates.

'...Thankfully, none of those suspicious students are my friends,' I thought, feeling slightly relieved.

At this moment, I even felt a little proud of myself.

Even without ever using my abilities to analyze my housemates' personalities, I had still somehow managed to befriend only people who were genuinely good.

It looked like I had instinctively kept my distance from the more problematic Ravenclaws.

And the curious part was that I had never noticed feelings this disturbing coming from them before.

Sure, I already knew there were some prejudiced, arrogant, and even mean students in Ravenclaw.

But possible supremacists? That I genuinely hadn't expected.

But apparently, those ideas had already existed inside them for a long time.

They just needed someone like Voldemort to bring everything to the surface — someone with extremist views similar to theirs, someone they could admire, follow... or even use to justify their own feelings.

I just thought they had chosen the absolute worst person possible for that.

Seriously... if they wanted to idolize some unstable idiot with 14-year-old edgelord syndrome and daddy issues, they could've just waited for Twitter to be invented.

That place would be packed with people like that.

Jokes aside, thanks to my abilities, I could figure out exactly who those people were.

And now I had a very important card up my sleeve.

'Well, I guess Voldemort's return was useful for something after all,' I thought dryly.

Then, while thinking about that, something... or rather, someone came to mind.

My gaze slowly shifted toward one particular boy.

The same idiot who had tried to discredit my words earlier, spreading doubt and stirring up chaos throughout the Common Room.

Clark.

Unlike the ones who seemed supportive of Riddle's cause, I couldn't feel any excitement or admiration coming from him.

What I did feel from him instead was slight contempt and envy directed straight at me.

But underneath all that, there was also doubt... and a deep fear.

'Hmph. So he's just a jealous, petty dickhead,' I let out a disdainful scoff.

But I'm not gonna lie. Even that was way better than him actually being a future Death Eater candidate.

In a way, it was actually a little relieving to know that not everyone who argued against me during that discussion was necessarily evil. Some of them were just... assholes.

'Well, even if he's not some shitty supremacist, that still doesn't change the fact that he deserves to get the shit beaten out of him for being such an annoying idiot,' I nodded firmly.

Then, I paused for a moment.

'Okay, maybe beating him up is a little excessive.'

'But a whole week of humiliating pranks? Ah, there's definitely no way he's escaping that.'

And just thinking about all the ways I could torment him made a evil grin spread across my lips.

Clark, who had been casually talking with his group of friends up until now, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

Instinctively, he turned to look around. That was when he saw me staring directly at him, with my trademark "friendly" smile on my face.

'Oh Merlin...' he immediately stiffened, feeling a cold sweat run down his back while his face twitched slightly.

'...I'm so screwed.'

End.
