'Note to self, two explosions at once is a bit much for old places like this.' I thought, blinking spots from my vision and stepping back through, even as my ears rang.
The plateau of stairs was just gone and I caught sight of all three of them, alongside the treasure chest itself falling from the air, a massive cloud of dust and debris swirling around them.
In my free hand, I held both of Golem and Exeggutor's luxury balls and quickly returned them before they could hit the ground, before stepping forward, hand that I'd wound up in preparation in advance, whipping forward in a punch.
A massive ethereal fist erupted from my gauntlet clad fist, Mach Punch attack slamming into Regirock's airborne form before it could hit the ground, carrying the massive rocky beast through the air where it smashed hard into the wall, cratering it.
And poor Regirock could do naught by lay there asleep and take it, even as poison and leech side sapped its energy continuously.
Quickly, I had Rotom slurp up their balls, before depositing the luxury ball of my newest and most powerful pokemon into my grasp.
"Let's go, Regice!" I declared, summoning forth a legendary pokemon for the first time ever into battle.
"Dododon!" Regice vibrated beside me as its towering glacial form appeared in a burst of silvery bright light from the luxury ball in my hand.
Six golden glowing dot like eyes settled on the prone form of its brethren, Regice floating slightly above the ground.
"Hammer Arm, let's go!" I clicked my fingers towards Regirock and commanded.
"Dododon!" Regice replied, and belying its massive size, Regice outright glided rapidly across the room, winding up a massive glacial arm glowing a bright white with power.
And brought it down atop the chest of the prone Regirock. The sheer force of the blow, lifted the massive rock legendary up off the ground despite it being a downward strike and smashed it even deeper into the wall, tripling the size of the crater and outright blasting a hole straight to the outside, Regirock's bulky body practically bouncing across the forest floor and landing prone outside.
A massively super effective strike.
"Don't let up!" I rushed behind Regice as the legendary followed Regirock outside, gliding out over the grass, "Hit it with Ice Beam, freeze it over before it can wake up!"
"Regiiiice!" the legendary cried out in response, making my eyes widen slightly in surprise.
I stopped and stared as Regice lifted both bulky icy arms up, twin spheres of icy blue energy forming in its palms, before erupting in an onslaught of jagged beams, a trio of massive jagged icy blue beams from each arm, slamming into Regirock feet first.
Its huge rocky feet froze over in seconds, and then Regice jerked its arms up trailing the beams up over Regirock's legs, encasing them in freezing cold blocks of ice, before continuing up over its torso freezing it whole, before finally reaching the head.
In seconds, Regirock's body was completely frozen over.
I couldn't help but wince.
I sure am ruthless.
Asleep, poisoned, being drained by leech seed, paralysis, sand in the eyes, twin explosions, a super effective mach punch, a super effective hammer arm while it was immobile from a legendary…and now frozen over completely with twin ice beams from said legendary.
This is the second legendary I've treated like this today.
I'm not sure how I feel about that, but nothing for it.
I stepped forward, walking around Regice's massive form, the ice type legendary not lowering its arms at all, ready and able to attack at a moments notice if Regirock broke free.
Such a diligent guy.
"Luxury Ball me, Rotom." I said, holding my palm out.
"Roger." Rotom replied, the slat on my palm opening up and spitting out an empty, shrunken gleaming black luxury ball.
Which I wasted no time in pressing the golden button in the middle of, enlarging it and tossing it at the prone beaten and frozen form of Regirock.
The gleaming expensive black poke ball tinked against the thick ice encompassing Regirock's form, bouncing up into the air above it as it clicked open and red light erupted from within, spreading over the frozen body of Regirock and slurping it up like a wet noodle.
Moments later, the luxury ball fell to the forest floor, golden centre glowing a thrumming crimson red as the ball began to shake back and forth.
Once.
…Twice.
…Thrice…!
Click!
A deep exhale of breath left me at the successful capture. Unlike before, my legs didn't turn to jelly beneath me, nor did the excitement threaten to overwhelm me like it had with Regice.
The reality of what the Regi's were and their mental state made it so I couldn't enjoy it as much.
But I couldn't deny the smile it put on my face.
"Two down, one to go," I laughed lightly as I walked over, picking up the gleaming expensive ball and held it up in my palm, looking it over, "Or well, three technically I suppose."
Since there was still Regieleki and Regidrago, but they were a foregone conclusion at this point.
I stared at it for a few more moments, before having Rotom store the luxury ball away for the moment and turned to the towering form of Regice.
It had lowered its arms with Regirock captured, and now simply waited for me to order it in whatever way I saw fit.
God it was going to be an uphill battle going forward with these guys.
Shaking my head, I walked over and placed my hand gently on the lower torso of the legendary ice type, patting it fondly, "Good work mate," I smiled up at him, "Let's go loot that old loser's treasure and then go make camp for the night, eh?"
Regice in reply, simply inclined its head, "Dododon."
