TWO WEEKS LATER
STONE-BAR
Although restless, Song was thoroughly enjoying life without his mother's control.
There was no more mission, which also meant no more sleepless nights and turning family into enemies.
Fourteen days had passed since Vida was taken to the asylum, and if that were a movie, he'd replay the part where they were taking her away countless times.
It was surprisingly his best day.
Ukraine got to the bar a short while after his dad.
He too was thirsty for a hard drink.
Song had kept the turnable stool next to him unoccupied for his son.
He quit guarding it when Ukraine finally took a seat.
"I'll have whatever you're having. Looks strong, and I need a couple of glasses of it," said Ukraine.
"Sure."
Song signaled the bartender to fix a similar glass for the man next to him.
"I have to say, these past few days have been the best days of my life," began Song.
"You mean the days after Grandma's crisis, right?"
