The Storm God was quite clear at this point that Alex's courage came from more than just being with the Sky God and Bladedance. There was a degree of pettiness to him, which was why he was choosing the clearly inferior of the two options given to him.
He couldn't help but laugh as a result.
"If that is what you want, then I will give you the opportunity," the Storm God said as he waved his hand. "I am, of course, benevolent. So I will give you some time to decide otherwise. But if you still choose to remain bullheaded by the end of it, then I cannot help you."
Alex held a look of disdain. The man wanted to piss on him and call it rain. Did he really think what he was going to do was good for him?
"And I shouldn't have to mention this really, but don't bother running away. I have eyes and ears all around the place," the Storm God said. "The moment you leave this world, I will find you."
