As Liz took her chance with the stone guardian, Alex leaned toward Ronron, asking her some questions.
"Why did you hold back?" he asked her first.
Everyone who watched her fight had seen that she had given it her all, but for anyone who knew Ronron, it was clear that she had held back.
Alex didn't believe Ronron had any chance at winning against the stone guardian even if she gave her everything, but the fact that she didn't even try that confused him a little.
"I can't use my Space Daos. They will start making connections," Ronron said quietly.
"You're afraid of being found out?" Alex asked her.
"Not… really. But master told me to keep a low profile so I don't have to deal with others who might only fawn over me or target me relentlessly," Ronron said.
"That's what I'm here for, aren't I?" Alex asked. "I'm going to stop them from coming after you."
