The Artifact God was focused on the scale for some time, trying to understand its properties. A Flood Dragon's scale wasn't so common a material that she could just tell what it was and what it could do just by looking at it.
Unlike everything else, this one she had to try her hardest to learn.
She wanted to keep her focus on that for as long as she could, but from time to time, she turned to look at Alex as he made the sword.
Since he had already extracted the metal, his next task was to melt it fully and form a sword. There were many moulds present in the workshop, and Alex used one of them. He brought out a hammer and anvil of his own and started beating on the freshly moulded sword.
The Artifact God listened to the sonorous sounds of the hammer hitting metal, the sharp ting coming at uniform intervals as Alex tempered the sword. The woman was surprised at the lack of variation in his strikes, which was exactly what one desired for a perfect tempering.
