The Artifact God promised Alex that she would work on the Flood Dragon's scale as well as she could. And when she was done with it, she would look into learning about the corpse of the Three-Legged Crow. She still found herself stumbling through the words when saying the name of the Primordial, as if she still couldn't believe Alex had it at all.
After some talk, she decided to send Alex away for the time being.
"I'll call for you once I'm done gathering the ingredients. I'm sure you will want to watch me work on this. You won't be the only one. I will have an audience ready in the future, and you can join me when that happens," she told him.
Alex was more than happy to hear that she wasn't just going to make the artifact in private. Even if he disliked the fact that she planned on making it a show for many people, he wouldn't mind as long as he would be the one to get the shield.
Hopefully, no god would consider abusing their authority at that moment.
