Chapter 14 - The queen of the demons.

After hours of Fullus explaining everything about Kei's life in the Human World, one of the chiefs, Sfyr, finally spoke.

"Now, I want to hear about the prince's mark and powers. How are we supposed to teach Prince Drieshan Keishii to use both of his abilities? Isn't it extremely dangerous for him to use them at the same time?"

After Chief Sfyr finished speaking, the other chiefs nodded in agreement.

Fullus took a deep breath.

"Very well. I'll explain everything in detail to the chiefs and Her Majesty."

He paused.

"However... if I mention the demon's true name, please do not repeat it. We are half-beast demons, and repeatedly speaking that name could become dangerous for Prince Keishii."

Everyone silently nodded.

"First..."

Fullus opened one of the books lying on the table.

"The prince possesses the power of the Seven Elements, and the name of his djinn is Phoenix."

"As far as I've investigated, the last magician possesses a Golden Magic Channel. Because of that, I believe Prince Keishii's djinn is the Golden Phoenix."

He glanced around the room.

"Unfortunately, neither Plifer nor I are magicians. We can only teach him by relying on the book Ability to Use Power. At least that book will lessen our burden."

The chiefs listened carefully.

"Now..."

Fullus closed the book.

"Let's move on to our powers."

His expression became serious.

"The powers possessed by half-beast demons differ from person to person. Every one of us has unique abilities, but each ability also has its own limitations."

He pointed toward Plifer.

"For example, Plifer possesses two abilities. He can communicate with beings that possess magical power, although he cannot communicate with ordinary humans or half-magicians."

"And his second ability allows him to stop the movement of humans or animals for up to six minutes."

Plifer simply nodded.

Fullus then pointed toward Lylia.

"Lylia's ability allows her to lift objects with her mind. She can even make them fly as high as fifteen kilometers."

He smiled.

"However, her power only lasts for four minutes."

Lylia smiled shyly.

"Forgive me if using everyone as examples seems rude."

He bowed respectfully.

"But I believe everyone here needs to understand our strengths and limitations."

Chief Fryos nodded.

"You have my permission."

Fullus smiled.

"As everyone already knows, Chief Fryos can create water simply by touching an object."

"But his ability only lasts for twenty minutes."

"Compared to the rest of us, that is considered quite a long time."

Chief Fryos laughed softly.

"If I continue explaining every chief's abilities..."

Fullus chuckled.

"...our meeting won't end until tomorrow."

Several chiefs laughed quietly.

His smile slowly disappeared.

"However..."

He looked directly into everyone's eyes.

"Prince Drieshan Keishii's demonic power has no known limit."

The room immediately fell silent.

Everyone exchanged uneasy glances.

"Prince Keishii is not half demon like us."

Fullus continued quietly.

"He carries the blood of a true demon."

"That means his abilities could be completely different from ours... or perhaps even far greater."

Chief Slieve slowly leaned forward.

"What is the name of his demon, Fullus?"

Fullus lowered his head.

"I'll say it only once."

"Please..."

"...do not repeat it."

After everyone nodded, Fullus slowly spoke.

"The demon within Prince Keishii is known as..."

"...the Queen of All Demons."

Silence.

Not a single person dared to breathe loudly.

Chief Sfyr widened his eyes.

"So... that's why Lady Drieshan Nori sealed both the djinn and the demon inside the prince?"

Fullus nodded.

"Yes."

"And that is also why the Demon King invaded the Magic World."

"He believed the Queen of Demons had been taken from him."

The chiefs looked at one another in disbelief.

Fullus gestured toward Plifer.

"Now..."

"I'll let Plifer explain the mark on Prince Keishii's neck."

Plifer stepped forward with a drawing in his hand.

"I apologize if my explanation isn't perfect."

He unfolded the paper.

"At first glance, it looks like an ordinary bird in flight."

He pointed at the sketch.

"But when I looked more closely..."

"...I noticed that the bird's head has two small horns."

The chiefs immediately began whispering among themselves.

Commander-in-Chief Slieve raised his hand.

"Does anyone object to what we've heard so far?"

Chief Jimms spoke first.

"It won't be easy to train Prince Keishii, Your Majesty."

Chief Laplias nodded.

"We know almost nothing about the power of a true demon."

"It could be dangerous for all of us."

Chief Groos added,

"If we keep the demon sealed, perhaps we can safely teach him to control only his magic first."

Chief Fludd immediately disagreed.

"But if the demon remains sealed..."

"...how will the prince ever defeat the Demon King, Sister?"

Chief Jimms shook his head.

"No."

"Unlocking that demon would be far too dangerous."

"We're only half-beast demons."

"If we lose control..."

"...none of us will be able to stop Prince Keishii."

The room became silent once again.

Empress Grilly slowly closed her eyes.

"Hmm..."

"I need time to think."

She opened her eyes.

"Prince Keishii hasn't even finished studying the book yet."

"I'll meet him personally first."

"Only after speaking with him..."

"...will we hold another conference."

No one objected.

The meeting had come to an end.

Empress Grilly rose from her seat.

Commander-in-Chief Slieve and Chief Fludd stood beside her.

She walked toward Fullus, Plifer, and Lylia.

"Fullus."

"Plifer."

"Lylia."

"Come to the Commander-in-Chief's office fifteen minutes after this meeting."

The three of them bowed respectfully.

"We'll be there in fifteen minutes, Your Majesty."

Grilly smiled gently.

"Very well."

"I'll see you there."

A cloud of black smoke surrounded her body.

Within seconds...

...the Empress disappeared.

Fullus quietly watched the smoke fade away.

"Is this meeting... about Prince Keishii again?"

He wondered silently.
