The instant Ace and Eva's feet touched the hundredth step together…
'BOOM!!!'
The entire Evernight Ascension Stairway trembled!
It wasn't just the hundredth step that shook; the darkness surrounding the Stairway rippled as countless ancient runes suddenly lit one after another, stretching from the hundredth step toward the unreachable darkness above.
Golden-black radiance descended from the Stairway's depths. It was neither pure gold nor pure darkness, containing both elements in perfect harmony and giving the light an ancient, mysterious quality that made every being watching it instinctively hold their breath.
Even the Evernight Kings straightened slightly on their thrones.
The Evernight Dukes stared without blinking.
Lord Seeker's countless eyes narrowed simultaneously.
At the base of the stairway, the remaining participants could only stare upward in shock. For the first time since the trial began, they saw the legendary Evernight Providence descend with their own eyes.
