Chapter 7 - The bus incident

Here the highlight of this incident is about our school band which was formed like I had mentioned before. There was this time when we went to a far away place which was like two hours away from home. When I was in primary school, it was a whole day scholar school. We went for like for a religious occasion and also since we were small, in order to appreciate such times we had to perform our country's song and dance. At that day, we performed 4 to 5 songs and dances. Also I got to play with my bandmates too. That day was so full of surprises to me. At that place, I met my elder brother Weber who was in a boarding school. Since his school was near by that place, their teachers agreed to come there to that religious place. He was kind of happy and kind of nice to see him again. Though he comes home once a month. He gave me some money to spend and bought me snacks to eat. Later he went back to his school with his schoolmates. Our school was having lunch and our teachers asked us to be ready to go back home soon. We were resting and later went to reserve seats for school bus. I got the seat at the very last bench. I went there with disappointment that I didn't got any good seat to sit but some minutes later my disappointment was for nothing. I saw Jasper coming my way to sit beside me. I can't believe myself. Theo had kept the window seat for him so I had to moved aside but I was very satisfied with whatever the seat I got. Once on the way I asked Jasper if he was willing to change seats with me since I wanted to look outside. I really like sitting at the window seat and to look around outside. It was always so refreshing. But to my surprise he changed the seat with me without any objection. I was in happy state. Then later I went to my seat as I didn't wanted to make him uncomfortable. I started to fall asleep. The best sleep I ever got was in a bus ride. You might not like it sometimes if the roads are sloppy. Since I was at last seat of the bus, we were like jumping all of a sudden due to the roads. I was unable to have a good nap. Later I was sleeping like a baby you know. I don't know how but my head dropped on Jasper's left shoulder unknowingly. I don't know for how many minutes I was in that position but Jasper never tried to push my head aside. I got to know after I woke up and knew where head was. Suddenly I was up and look at him with embarrassment. He was smiling at me. He told me if it was comfortable to sleep on his shoulder. He said he didn't push my head away because he didn't want to wake me up. He said I was sound sleeping so that's why. I was like how considering of him to think like that. Me and my small brain was like always teaming up for him always. But I was still sleepy since the morning we had been changing clothes and like with everything I was so exhausted. I was about to sleep straight but then suddenly Jasper asked me if I want, I can sleep on his lap if I am comfortable. Since my priority was a good sleep at that time, I slept on his lap the whole time and I had the best sleep. I know it was kind of awkward and embarrassing to say all of this but the feeling I had at that time was so deep. I was so moved by his consideration. I know that at that time I was way too young to experience all of this but I don't know why I never regret those feelings since I got this feelings to experience and got to think maturely at a very young age. When I think of those times now I am like what the hell I was doing . It was so embarrassing.
