"Madre!" Rosie shouted, bolting forward the moment Ryley stepped through the entrance.
Ryley released Clyde's hand and opened his arms wide, scooping Rosie into a tight, warm embrace. He pressed a few lingering, affectionate kisses to her cheek.
"Is it true? Your eyes have healed from that red-eye disease?" she asked eagerly.
"Of course, dear. See? No more red eyes," Ryley replied, a fond smile tugging at his lips. "All thanks to you."
Madam Beckett straightened, a smile forming as Ryley approached and offered a respectful bow.
"Anna," he greeted softly.
Instead of answering with words, Madam Beckett opened her arms and drew him into a brief embrace, gently patting his back.
"I'm glad you're finally discharged," she murmured, her gaze shifting to where Semaya stood holding little Ryder. "We were all worried about you."
