In this large forbidden forest you can see a trail of dust being left behind and on closer inspection it was Niles He was scanning the area for not only mineral sources but anything new he could in order to prepare for future worries.
On the way he saw some snakes with spines on them, a butterfly that stopped on a tree then gradually camouflaged itself to look like tree bark, a bush with a large fruit with sweet fragrance which when a insectoid magic beast landed near it opened up and swallowed then went back to its original form, most likely a magical variant of a pirahna plant and a weird tree when I passed by causing wind to allow the tree to shriek as if it was a banshee.
Niles was truly fascinated with everything because what he's been doing ever since he came to the world of Visteria all he has been doing is running away from something trying to kill him or cooped up in the village. But seeing this makes him want to wonder and explore this forest as if its his frontiet but it will definetly be conquered by me and my people.
Nothing wrong with being in the village though but it's kind of boring after all there's no Tv, wifi, even games are just playing pretend and having wild imagination truly later we have to update entertainment or this is going to be bleak , so Niles really needed a breather and what's better is trying to find a mine for materials to make the engine he's cooking up.
While he was in the train of thought he discovered something that he wanted nearby and it's not that far from the village and what you might ask is obviously the thing he needed to go with his plan for the construction vehicles which was crude oil.
He noticed that it was a black and that bubbled with a rotten egg smell it was an oil seep meaning it was gushing from the ground and when Niles analyzed it he noticed that it was a large amount underground but not only that this crude oil somehow had some weird particles causing it to look more glossy than regular.
When he inspected further it was the so-called magic particle as it felt similar to what the Blood serrated Wolves have when i analysed the meat I gave to the villagers.
Niles took some and stored it in his cube for further inspection later as well and remembered the location which was only 2500 meters (2.5km) from the village.
'Nuera can you please make a location marker to remind me of this oil seep'
(No problem already taken care of) Nuera responded calmly.
Then Niles became shocked for a moment thinking that it might take a bit longer to find what he wanted but his luck truly was working now. because what he came upon made him truly believe their was a god.
What he found was a cave. Not only that from how there are no tracks near the cave or that he doesn't see any signs of life it means that he hit the jackpot .
He went into the cave seeing that it's dark but thats alright for someone of my talents which then his eyes quickly ajusted with my pupils glowing a green glow. As he headed deeper in the cave to see what goodies he could find hopefully a assorment of untouched ore veins.
(It's just the advantages of your divinities) Nuera responded out of nowhere with a dull flat tone.
" Still a part of my Talents" Niles replied back with his defense.
(Sure Creator your correct) Nuera said with sarcasm
Niles was shocked 'did I give you sass in your programming because that's how I feel now' . Nuera didn't answer and Niles continued in the cave until a hole cracked in the wall near him and Niles was frightened a bit then then ground below started crackingwhich was connected to the wall.
Niles was about to jump quickly but the pressure from him trying to jump just caused it to crumble faster leading to him rolling at least 50 meters downward on the slope until he finally came to a stop.
" Ahhh I think I need to start bringing safety equipment" Niles said this while rubbing his head which was dizzy as due to the tumble.
(Creator I think you need to see this) Nuera said this with fervor in her tone as Niles listened to her while he was looking forward saw what she was talking about.
The cave Niles saw was now like a different world as he could see some crystal-like structure protruding from the ground giving off light in alluring colours varrying from blue to pink even green and yellow.
Niles quickly noticed that this is actually a metal but it was not only that, but there were many different types the most common around was iron which was his main goal for now but with this he can now go beyond his plan for the village expansion and can even start the construction of vehicles.
Niles quickly took a square cube from his waist , held it and it formed a pickaxe which he used to take some samples of the unknown metals and mine iron enough for three vehicles to be built which took 8 hours which was okay for him but he remembered he didn't specify his time of return back so he accidentally mined enough where he could complete six vehicles but then he knew he had to get back or they would start to worry about him.
So he quickly got up dusted off the sediments off his clothing and headed up the slope and outside of the cave using the pickaxe to form a ramp back to the surface.
As he neared the cave entranced he heard howls in the distance the scattering of small animals around the brushes and even felt some fear from the glowing eyes in the distance. after the last incidence in the forest.
Niles could see it was noticeably darker and took long strides to reach back to the village settlement where he saw the village chief there with a torch and other people there as well they looked extremely worried and panicked but when they saw my arrival they looked relieved and closed the gate entrance.
" Do you know how worried we were, you should have at least told us where you were going even bringing a guard incase of an accident" Kar attacked Niles verbally before Niles could respond honestly feels like him getting reprimanded by his grandfather for doing something he wasn't. This didn't feel too bad at all.
" I won't do it again " Niles chuckled a little knowing that the crowd was worrying about me Because they actually care.about my well being which make them really feel more like family than back home.
' In all honestly looking at you guys I almost feel like they were going to take me down mob style there was even the pitchfork too'.
Niles sighed in relief and the people scattered back to what they were doing only leaving Kar talking to Niles which then Niles then.told him of his discovery in trying to find a mine.
" I found something even more incredible than just iron ore, but we are need some hands to collect them though" Niles replied in excitement as with this mine it could mean they don't have to worry about materials for good as he could tell it was a virgin mine meaning no one touched it at all maybe due to the dangers in the forest and especially for how abundant the materials are down there might help build up the foundations of the future empire.
" What is it my lord that has gotten you so excited?" Kar was puzzled but expectant as hearing the thing his words found would be beneficial to them.
Niles replied quickly " It's a mine and it spans for basically miles you know miles this can cause a major boom in our speed and aid in our desperate need for resources now as it is our key of redemption"
Kar was excited about it and even told Niles about recruiting people to go there to collect them and transport them here but before that Niles replied
"I have a bigger project at the moment that will benefit all sectors but we need to get a move on one first as the quicker we build these things the greater our speed will be" Niles said this a a vehicle without horse power is more suitable in carry materials around plus it will be the first step to our empire growing to become a powerhouse beyond the ability of tanyone on this planet has ever seen.
Kar listened and agreed to what Niles was saying and they both conversed on the topic of the mine and plans were being made.
