The killing intent in Solitary Falcon's eyes was naked, cruel, and absolute.
"Master Falcon, let's not make too much of this!" The Third Elder's anxious voice rang out, his forehead drenched in sweat. "Our City's Master has always dealt honorably with all. There may be occasions for cooperation between us in the future. Let us not sour our relations over this matter!"
"Bah! Shut your mouth!" The Solitary Falcon roared, his voice shattering the elder's plea like brittle glass. "Old Han's honor is the only reason I haven't slain this shrimp already! But how can I forgive his insolent tongue when he dared to spit out threats like 'even your body won't remain after I'm done with you'?! Honor? Hah! That man's honor is not his to borrow! His mouth lacked it, and so his bones will pay the price!"
His long hair whipped around his face, black robes flaring like a raging storm. His voice, each word like a sledgehammer:
"If he hadn't seen me, then wouldn't he have carried out his will upon the Jun Family? But since he dared to trespass within my territory, I will play as I please! Who among you dares to say otherwise? What I want, I take. What I will, I do! And I will continue to do so until Mr. Xiao answers me!"
The Solitary Falcon's gaze blazed, sharp and merciless, and he lifted his hand with mocking disdain.
"Now even your life depends on his mouth."
His voice slowed, every syllable searing into the Sixth Elder's heart like molten steel:
"This Old Man has asked you a question... and I will not ask a third time. Now answer me!"
The Sixth Elder's entire body shuddered. His limbs were numb, his chest constricted with shame and terror, his eyes turned lifeless. Never in his life had he suffered humiliation of this magnitude!
Yet the towering figure before him was no man... he was a beast, a storm, a calamity given flesh!
The elder's lips trembled. He opened them once... twice... but no words came. His jaw clenched, eyes closing tight, and two drops of hot tears squeezed from the corners of his eyes, carving paths of disgrace down his cheeks.
"I... I..." His throat croaked like a broken reed.
Finally, his spirit broke.
"...agree!"
The single word fell like a death knell. His eyes rolled back, his body swaying as though his soul had fled.
"Very good!" The Solitary Falcon's booming laughter split the air, each note cruel and triumphant. "Now that this shrimp has grasped this basic truth, I've no further interest in swatting him."
His gaze snapped, fierce and blazing, to the others that included the Third Elder, Mu Xue Tong, and the Little Princess. His voice was a whip that lashed across their very souls:
"Now tell me... who else does not accept this?!"
"I'm not in agreement with this whole 'bully the weak' attitude... If you want to kill me for it, then I'd be happy to have the 'Eighth Great Master's' mastery as my last memory!" Mu Xue Tong stepped forward with a fierce glare. His eyes, wide and round, burned with unyielding defiance, so pure that they seemed utterly devoid of fear.
"I also refuse to accept this!" The Little Princess, Han Yan Meng, moved beside him. Her delicate frame seemed fragile in the oppressive atmosphere, but the stubborn fire in her gaze shone brighter than her youth. She glared at the Solitary Falcon, her small fists clenched tight, her eyes brimming with dissatisfaction and boldness.
The courtyard grew heavy, silent.
"Ha ha... some of Silver Blizzard City's people truly aren't afraid of death! Good! Very good!" The Solitary Falcon's laughter rolled across the manor like thunderclaps, yet his tone was edged with mirthful cruelty. His sharp eyes lingered on them for a moment before his lips curved into a mocking smile.
"I've just opened his eyes today... but you two are still too young, too blind to understand the reality of this world. You feel wronged by my actions, and that's only natural. But tell me, do you think an old man like me would stoop so low as to bully children? Hah! I am not like some people who take pride in trampling those weaker than themselves."
His voice sank, cold and cutting:
"Don't worry. I consider you, Sky Xuan brat, and you, little princess, to be under Han Feng Xue's shadow. But remember this, your courage is wasted in situations where your age cannot yet comprehend the weight of reality."
He finished his words and then turned away, dismissing them utterly. His piercing eyes returned to the Sixth Elder, and his mouth curved into a cold, ridiculing smile that stabbed deeper than any blade.
The Sixth Elder trembled violently. Blood still stained his robes, and his chest heaved as though he would collapse. But now, his face went deathly pale, then flushed crimson again; the shame was so intense he nearly fainted on the spot!
For the Solitary Falcon's words had carried a poison far sharper than his strikes: he had reduced a dignified Spirit Xuan master into the same category as ignorant children.
To a man who had lived his whole life wrapped in pride, this was a humiliation more unbearable than death!
Indeed, the Solitary Falcon's tongue was every bit as ruthless as his fists. His ability to enrage others was only second to that of devilish young master Jun.
"Master Falcon," The Third Elder finally found his voice, his face dark as storm clouds. His voice trembled with restrained fury, "You've attacked my brother for no reason today. There was no justice in your murderous actions! You must give Silver Blizzard City an explanation!"
The Solitary Falcon burst into laughter, his long hair flaring in the wind. "No reason? Ha ha! You claim I attacked without reason, then tell me, if that were true, how is your brother still alive?!"
His voice suddenly sharpened, his aura surging once more. "Are you saying that I lack the skill to kill him?!"
The Third Elder staggered, words dying in his throat. He knew that men of the Solitary Falcon's temperament never struck without cause. Clearly, his brother must have provoked him, and if so, then what right did he, as an outsider, have to demand justice?
Yet the thought of swallowing this humiliation boiled his blood.
The Solitary Falcon saw his silence, and a cruel smirk flickered across his lips. His tone became slow, deliberate, pressing his advantage with each word:
"And as for 'explanations'... what did this Shrimp say when Jun Wu Yi demanded an explanation earlier? Did he not brush it aside, offering only empty words? And now you want me to explain myself to you? Heh... Why should I? To whom? On what grounds?"
From the side, Jun Mo Xie's lips curved ever so slightly. He had been watching in silence until now, but at this moment, he spoke with a voice so calm and clear it seemed to cut straight into everyone's hearts:
"The 'so-called' explanation the Sixth Elder gave us earlier wasn't very clear, but it was thought-provoking. I believe I'll need at least two or three days to reflect upon it before I can truly grasp its meaning."
His words dripped with subtle irony, but his face was composed, his tone gentle. He continued leisurely:
"From what I heard, when you face someone weaker, you don't feel the need to explain yourself. Therefore, when someone stronger stands before you, why should they be obliged to explain themselves to you? By this logic, strength is the ultimate explanation, is it not? He he... Isn't this the guiding principle of Silver Blizzard City?"
His eyes glittered coldly as his smile grew sharper:
"So now that our strength is greater, why do you demand explanations from us? What makes you think Silver Blizzard City should enjoy such advantages both ways? He he... this is strange indeed..."
