If the Cosmic Elder brought even a single person along with him, even someone weaker, and that person contributed in fighting the space beasts, it would grant the Cosmic Elder a wider margin to advance, even if only slightly at first.
And with every additional person he brought, that margin would grow larger and larger, stacking over time into something meaningful. Such companionship would allow the Cosmic Elder to gradually shift his focus, until he could dedicate most of his strength solely to fighting ancestor-level space beasts, the true obstacles standing in his path, and that was exactly what was needed for progress.
"Taking someone with me? Hehe." The Cosmic Elder let out a strange, almost mocking chuckle, "Do you happen to have a handful of them prepared for me?"
