**Jasmine Same Roth's Log, Supplemental**
**Shire Valley – Government District**
**May 13th, 2126**
**One voice sparks a thousand questions.**
**The Republic begins to speak.**
The news broke before dawn.
---
By the time most citizens opened their hand comms, clips of the Council vote were already circulating. The moment Mira Solari's single hand rose on the tally had been clipped, shared, and commented on thousands of times within the first hour.
**@ForgeAndFlame**
Mira Solari just put her own name forward knowing she'd lose. That takes either guts or calculation. Maybe both.
**@ValleyRunner42**
She said it plainly: "I knew I would be soundly outvoted." Then smiled as she meant it. I don't know if I trust it, but I respect the move.
**@IronveinWatch**
Thrain voted to ratify and stayed quiet after. Mira's already turning a loss into a campaign launch. Smart.

Mira Solari's interview dropped mid-morning. She stood in front of a simple backdrop, voice calm and measured. "I knew I would be soundly outvoted. That was never in question. I put my name forward because I wanted to be part of this moment — not as a spectator, but as someone willing to step into the light and say, 'I believe in what we are building.' Jasmine Same Roth has already proven what steady leadership looks like under impossible pressure. I am inspired by her. My self-nomination was never about winning yesterday's vote. It was about showing that this Republic has room for more than one vision."
The clip spread faster than the official ratification announcement. In her apartment in the Government District, Jasmine sat at the small table, a half-finished cup of coffee growing cold beside her tablet. She scrolled through the reactions slowly. Leanne sat across from her, tablet in hand. "She turned a defeat into an opening statement for the next election," Leanne said. "And she did it without sounding bitter. That's dangerous."
Nolan stood near the window, arms crossed, watching the morning traffic move along the newly marked streets. "She's testing the waters. Now every ambitious person in the valley has an example of how to lose gracefully and still stay relevant. The forums are already flooded with questions about term limits, how districts will work, and what powers the President actually holds." Sebastian arrived with Sarah shortly after, carrying a box of fresh bread from one of the new bakeries. He dropped it on the table and sat heavily.
"Half the merchant quarter is talking about Mira's interview like it's the most interesting thing to happen since the first Condor landed. People who never cared about government before are suddenly asking how they can run for the House in a year." Sarah poured herself a cup of coffee and leaned against the counter.
"Some of the comments are already calling her the loyal opposition. Others say she should have just supported the winner and stayed quiet. Either way, they're talking. That part worked." Jasmine set her tablet down and rubbed her temple. "I expected scrutiny of the documents. I did not expect Mira to become the center of the conversation within twelve hours."
Nolan glanced back from the window. "She just reminded everyone that in twelve months, the people will actually choose. That question was always coming. She simply made sure it arrived on her terms."
Across the city, the forums kept moving.

So if we're electing a real President in a year, how do I even know what the job actually does? The Constitution is long. Someone break it down like I'm five.
**@MerchantRow**
Mira Solari just proved you can lose and still look like you belong at the table. Watch how many people copy that playbook before the first election.
**@BeastkinScout**
I don't care who runs. I care whether the new laws actually stop nobles and Imperia agents from treating us like they used to. Show me that and I'll vote.

In the apartment, Leanne closed her tablet. "The inquiries are already in the hundreds. People want explanations of the Electoral College, how ARMOC will actually work with local police, what happens if the President tries to overstep. Mira's interview didn't just spark curiosity. It gave people permission to ask." Jasmine looked at the three of them, then back at the tablet still glowing on the table. A new thread had appeared at the top of the main forum:
"If this Republic is real, I want to understand how it works before I have to vote on it. Where do I start?"
Dozens of replies were already forming beneath it. Nolan watched her read. "It's beginning," he said. "You ratified the structure. Now the people are starting to claim it." Jasmine set the tablet down and looked out toward the growing city. "Then we had better make sure the structure is strong enough to hold them."
