Somewhere in a room, several people gathered at a table for a meeting, their face were in the shadows, hard to be recognized.
"Seems like the perfect time for an attack" a guy chuckled
"Yeah, this fighting tournament will gather world leaders and many young talent in one spot" another one agreed "Great time for recruiting too"
"Let's not get to rash now" A woman warned "They are still strong, so let's plan this out carefully"
They all look nothing alike apart from a tattoo of a blood red sword on their arm.

"That's all the paper works done" the clerk said "Is there anything else you need?"
"No thank you" Perseus replied as he then got to the others
"I registered myself for the tournament" he said to the others
"Great, now let's explore Modia while we're here" Nova suggested "We got all of our bounties, let's just relax before going to Artia"
"Yeah, we're adventurers, we're meant to explore after all" Dabria added
They then went around town and explored the city, buying food to snack on and souvenirs for their family. As they were walking, Siege noticed that they were being followed.
"We're being followed" Siege observed "12 o'clock, 3 hooded men"
"Let's dodge them" Elliot suggested "We should be able to lose them in one of the alleyways"
"I don't know" Perseus scratched his head "Alleyways should be to their advantage since it's their territory, we'll get lost and be ambushed, it always happens in stories"
"You and your books, let's follow Elliot's suggestion" Nova chuckled "If we get lost, we can just trace our way back"

"Told you guys, it's an ambush" Perseus sighs as he took out is guns "Books never lie, can't believe there are purebloods who are thieves or murderers, you're just as bad as people from the buries"
They were surrounded by hooded men in a small area that the alley led them to.
"You think wrong kid, besides we're not like those filthy traitors" A guy laughed "We can organize ourselves, you guys have been a pain in our butts, several of our guys have been captured by you, and we're here to eliminate you guys before you can do us any more harm"
"So we can't just negotiate our way out of here?" Nova asked "We got some money if you want"
"We can just kill you all and-" a shot of arcana then went through the middle of his head killing him instantly
"I've killed animals before, at least they were useful after their deaths since I can eat them" Perseus said unfazed "Nova, our orders?"
"Yep, this sounds like the time for it" Nova nodded "Defeat them!"
The other hooded men then charged in for an attack.
Perseus started to shoot them down one by one, but when they got too close, he pulled out his short sword from his ring and slashed one guy's arm off. With a gun on his left and a short sword on his right, he proceed to join in the fight. Most of their moves were sloppy so Perseus had an easy time with them.
He shot them when they were a distance away and engage them with a sword when they were close. Siege was running around them and jumping on them, his fangs that was surrounded by arcana bit down on their flesh. Ace clad his claws with arcana to claw their faces as when they were blinded or distracted by him, Emma then took them down with her sword.

"Perseus then threw up after the fight.
"Killing another human being isn't as easy as I thought" Perseus muttered as he then threw up again.
"You would be a monster if you really didn't feel anything" Nova said as he patted his back "You and Emma did good"
"Yeah, and I thought I prepared my mind for this too" Emma grumbled
"We were fine, since we weren't really humans in the first place" Ace chimed in
"Yeah, it's similar to hunting" Siege added
"Let's report this to the enforcers" Nova suggested "If we leave this scene be, it's going to be investigated as murder and we don't want that"
"Yeah, and I don't think I'm really hungry for dinner anymore" Elliot sighs
