With only the [Love God's Sting], although there is still a distance from the "Duality" that Shard wants to achieve, Desire tells Shard that once he finds a way for the physical bodies to merge, triggering the "Love God's Sting" at the instant of the merge would be sufficient to realize a complete "Duality".
