Shard's luck at Coldwater Port wasn't too bad; among the antiques brought out by the old lighthouse keeper Mr. Edmund, he finally found an item that met the requirements.
It was a black withered apple core, something that might have been ignored even by children scavenging for litter if left by the roadside. Yet it was indeed an antique passed down from the Fifth Era, related to the love story "Green Apple Romance." It's said that this apple core symbolized the final state of the once bountiful fruit representing the protagonists' failed love.
"Another story with a tragic ending; I don't like that."
As he spoke, Shard was accompanying Mr. Edmund fishing beneath the sea cliff. Though he couldn't fish, it was easy to learn how to bait a hook and cast a line.
"But tragedy has its own charm, just constantly chasing comedy is not necessarily a good thing."
