When Prince Nathan arrived at the royal palace, the grand entrance came alive with movement. Maids and butlers lined the marble corridor in two neat rows, their heads bowed in practiced unison as the heavy doors opened.
"Welcome home, Your Grace." they all said in unison.
Their voices blended into one, smooth and rehearsed, echoing softly through the high-vaulted hall.
Being royalty did have its perks.
Nathan gave a small nod in acknowledgment, his expression composed, though his mind was anything but still. One of the butlers stepped forward and carefully took his coat, draping it over his arm with quiet efficiency.
"Have you seen my father?" Nathan asked, loosening the tension in his shoulders slightly. "I need to give him my report on the trip to Gavaria, I'm sure he is waiting to hear from me."
"Yes, Your Grace," the butler replied respectfully. "His Majesty instructed me to inform him the moment you returned. I shall notify him of your arrival at once."
