Hurburn stood at his balcony, his arm resting on the railings as he looked over at the people going about their activities. He had a huge smile on his face.
There on the balcony there was a small round ceramic table with floral designs and two chairs right at the middle, with an empty tray placed on it.
A guard walked him, his hands behimd his back. He had a sword sheathed and plaved on his waist.
" He is here" The guard said
" Let him in " Hurburn replied.
The guard nodded and walked out, he then came in but this time there was someone else behind him.
A man in his mid 40s walked him, he had a clean shaven head, black eyes and seemed really tall with his shoulders held high . He just had this majestic aura as he walked him.
He had on a grey robe, there seemed to be a Sword in its cheated hung over his shoulders. He had on a straight face.
As they walked in, Hurburn turned around to face the tall man standing right above him.
He nodded to the guard who had brought him in, the guard nodded walking back to the entrance. He just stood there.
" Sit " Hurburn said to the man standing afront him pointing to the empty chair really close to him. He drew out a chair and sat one.
He sat down.
As soon as a sat a young lady walked in with a tray, on the tray were two wooden cups and a sealed large gourd with a cork inserted in it. She carefully placed the cups on the empty tray on the table before continuing to place the large gourd of ale gently on the table.
She bowed then walked out
"I got your letter " He said as he brought out an envelop that seem to look exactly like the writer Hurburn had written earlier, wih his seal on it.
" Now what do you have for me" he continued
" Relax Luk" Hurburn said.
"Well you seem interested in my offer " He continued.
" Well yeah, I wouldn't have embarked on such a long journey, if I wasn't interested " Luk replied.
" Well you should know she is just a baby, wouldn't you want to hold on till she's a bit of age" Hurburn asked
" The earlier the better "
" Don't worry, I already have the whole place set up for her arrival " Luk continued.
He had a slight grin on his face.
" Well if you insist" Hurburn said. He looked at the guard standing at the entrance, the guard had caught his eye. As if, he already knew what was going on in Hurburn mind .
He walked out.
Luk removed the cork from the gourd and a large popping sound travelled through the air, he then went on to the fill up his both cups, as he wore a smile on his face.
Aaryah sat on her floral patterened bed with the baby in her arms, rocking her gently. As she gently sways her arms, she looked down at her cute tiny face.
Her face lit up, as she smiled widely at the baby. Her face all red from all the crying, she looked up at Aaryah who was now making weird faces as a means to cheer her up.
Baby Sophia raised her little legs up, smiling widely hence revealing her toothless gum. Her cute laughter filled the room as Aaryah kept on making her funny faces
Since Aaryah had gotten back with the baby, she had been the one taking care of her and Aaryah had come to create a really strong bond with her. She had even made a tiny wooden crib for her placed at the corner of the room.
As Aaryah kept on making funny faces, she heard a knock on her door.
" Come in " She said out loud.
The door flung wide open and a guard walked in.
" Sir Hurburn has sent for you " He said
" UHM…..Okay, but do you have any reason why " She asked him curiously.
He nodded negatively.
Aaryah gulped. She could feel her chest tightening.
' I hope it is not what I am thinking' She thought as she stood up, with the baby still in her arms.
As she walked towards the crib she could feel her legs get weaker with each step she takes. She carefully laid the baby in her crib, kissing her gently on her forehead.
She had already had an idea for which Hurburn would want to see her.
She just knew it would come to this sooner or later, she had just wished for the best.
" Watch over her for me, I will be right back" She said to the guard who had nodded in response.
As she walked through the hallway, she could hear her heart beat loudly as she got closer to where Hurburn was. She had been trying so hard to avoid the thought of what Hurburn might do to the baby.
She has grown this special bond for her and wasn't ready to let her go, but there was nothing she could do. Deep inside she had carried the hope that Hurburn might have had a complete change of heart by keeping the baby at the Villa with her in charge of her care, since she had been taking care of her for weeks now.
Different thoughts ran through Aaryah mind as she climbed the flights of steps leading to the balcony. She had no idea what the future held for the baby.
She knew what Hurburn could do especially when it comes to money deals. As she got to the entrance that leads to the balcony, she gulped hard.
Her throat felt really dry.
' I just really hope this meeting will do her more good' She thought as she opened the doors that led to the balcony
As she walked through the doors into the balcony, she sighted Hurburn sitting opposite another man with a clean shaven head. They seemed to be sharing a drink together and engrossed in their chats as they hadn't noticed her presence.
" Sir Hurburn" She said out loud.
The two men turned to look towards her.
" You sent for me" She continued.
" Aaryah, your care giving days are over " Hurburn said, placing the wooden cup on the table.
" I don't understand sir " Aaryah said, her throat tightening.
She knew what Hurburn meant but she just wanted clarity
" Luk here" He said swiftly glancing at where Luk had sat
" Will be going home with the baby " He continued.
" Okay Sir Hurburn " Aaryah replied. That's all she could say since Hurburn had made up his mind.
" I will send the maid to start packing her things" She continued.
She turned to walk away when Hurburn called out.
" AARYAH "
She felt a chill run through her spine
' What have I done this time ' she thought quietly
As she turned to look at him where he sat.
" I know you have gotten really close to her.." He said
"I want you to know that she will be in good hands " He continued.
She nodded then turned to leave.
