Vera Warner had seen Victor Morgan curled up pathetically on the sofa.
So, she had kindly gone to cover him with a blanket, only for him to suddenly lose his mind, grab her, and kiss her.
And now he had the gall to claim he was sleepwalking. Fuming, Vera Warner stormed into the kitchen. While Victor Morgan looked on curiously, she came out brandishing a knife.
Vera Warner gritted her teeth. "So? Are you awake from your sleepwalking now?"
Victor Morgan had never encountered anyone so fierce. He nodded frantically. "I'm awake, I'm awake! Just calm down!"
'Vera Warner really wanted to charge over and stab him a couple of times. To dare to mess with me like this, he must have a death wish.'
"Victor Morgan, I'm warning you. If you ever dare to be disrespectful to me again, I swear I'll gut you."
