Victor Morgan had become incredibly thoughtful, wanting to prepare everything for Vera Warner.
Vera was already very touched. But they were all out to have fun and relax; Victor didn't need to do everything. She needed to contribute too.
"No, it's fine. I'll go take a look myself. I'll be back soon, you guys wait for me."
Victor patted her hand. The family was a picture of blissful harmony. "Bring me back some meat skewers."
Vera nodded, gave them a wave, and jogged ahead. 'The family rarely gets to go out like this,' she thought, 'it's actually quite nice.'
A few minutes after Vera left, Zola Morgan started clamoring, "I want to go find Mommy! I want to eat meat skewers too!"
Victor Morgan looked back and saw Vera across the way, still talking to the vendor. The place was crowded at night, so it would probably be a while.
In the past, Victor would have his private family chef make these things. Experiencing it himself out in public was indeed a bit of a hassle.
