Faye Lockwood slapped her forehead. 'How can my brother be so sharp sometimes, yet a complete rookie when it comes to something like this?'
"Are you dense? How could we tell her? First of all, we don't even know if it's true. And even if it were, we shouldn't be the ones to say anything. How do you think that would make Vera feel?"
"If you ask me, we should just wait and see. After all, Adrian Morgan hasn't made any real moves yet."
"Maybe we're wrong anyway. And if it does turn out to be true, Vera should be the one to tell us first."
