After seeing Sun Shangyi refuse to take him as a disciple, Huang Xiaolong's second choice was Bai Xuyang. Although Bai Xuyang did not oppose the Holy Alliance, he remained neutral, and Bai Xuyang possessed the Dragon Element Saint Veins and Dragon-type Holy Body.
Seeing that Huang Xiaolong had chosen him as the second option, Bai Xuyang wore the same troubled expression as Sun Shangyi: "Holy Son Huang Xiaolong, I have been dedicated to the Alchemy Dao, constantly traveling to collect spiritual medicine materials, so I don't spend much time at the Holy Sect Headquarters. Therefore, I don't really have the time to teach you. I think you should consider apprenticing under another elder!"
All this talk of dedicating oneself to the Alchemy Dao and traveling was nothing but an excuse and a pretext.
Even if one were dedicated to the Alchemy Dao or traveling, could one not take Huang Xiaolong along?
