In a chilling space moon lay there floating in the luminescent city floating above rock. multiple terminals and ships parked right outside of the solar system. Always keeping watch on the monsters within a distance.
Neither of them knew about the outside world much. Strangely enough even with their advanced technology. Humans had far more technological advancements yet they sacrificed it for magic,
Moon did not know, why they ended up in this place memories were quite vague. For the past couple of days Moon had been fighting endless onslaught of monsters seemingly wanting to crush their jet pack.
It had gotten to the point where they had to invest in a helmet. Not knowing when the next attack may hit them or worse do enough damage to potentially cripple them. Thankfully, moon adapted quickly finding an old modeled weapon in the ruins.
Representing the old buildings, where humans used to live in peace with monsters. Not living in a closed of environment far away from home. Or earth as they might call it now.
Moon showed up in front of the shopkeeper. A bunny human who thought Moon was actually a monster known as helmet guy. A strange name yet monsters often mistook Moon as an enemy or an abnormal entity.
Thankfully Moons weapon managed to get an upgrade enough to channel the mysterious magical power more easily. It was thanks to a strange cat like creature who charged a steep price of 50 gold.
Moon has harmed others, even going as far to kill. But only in situations that were dire enough where hp ran low. They never did take pride in it or felt much, only a feeling numbness.
Moon never had a proper name anyone consistently Called them by hopefully that would change soon. Drifting of in space lost in endless stary skies, along with murky never ending darkness gave made them feel complacent.
"Have you heard about the portal, heard some renovations have been done might want to check it out". Moon nodded, another place to investigate. Might be a chance to uncover the mystery of their past.
Using a couple of signs moon tries to explain their situation. The bunny did not understand at all, was it not the standard use of sign language?. Another puzzle piece to solve.
Finally giving up Moon, uses a hologram to display their answers. The bunny lady assured moon about the place. Close to the ruins abandoned by the former scientists unknown to monster population on ts true purpose.
Much like their past Moon, felt drawn to ti so they went ot check it out. Seeing a strange crack left moon feeling curiousity, the desire to know more about the phenomenon. Just like that Moon overheard a skeleton flying straight to them.
Yet still their eyes were transfixed maybe traveling to a new place would lead them somewhere. Papyrus smashed into them, Moon tumbled into the portal. There was no hesitation, only a burning desire to understand.
Upon entering Moon stood face to face with a skeleton. Attacking him after he made the first move. Thankfully he stopped and even apologized, even after recognizing the face of a human since he attacked first.
Moon did not realize their helmet had been confiscated in anyway, hence why it had been quit ethe shock to them. Moon a name given to them, mor jokingly but far more suitable then any name given to them by others.

So Moon tried their best to get along with Sans, he was a peaceful monster if not a tad bit to angry. Everybody had their days, following along another persons will is far better then aimless drifting.
It was there Moon met Fs Chara, Sensing it before sans. A sixth sense they had gained after being attacked by monsters in various places over the days.
Disappointingly all of their skills, attacks and although limited battle experience lead to nothing. Not even recognizing Moon as a threat at all compared to sans who at least took Moon seriously.
Thankfully sans had not forgotten Moon, even risked his life to save them. For that Moon would repay such a debt.
Fs Chara is a cranky person. Yet if there was a way to resolve this issue that did not result in death moon would rather take that option.
