"It still hadn't changed. Do you still have the Shattered Fire Crystal, Maisha?"
"Yep. I kept it on me at all times."
Maia pulled out a red crystal three inches in diameter. It was shaped like a flattened sphere. At first glance, one would think it was a ruby.
"Ohhh…" Pear's eyes widened at the sight of the crystal.
"Eek!" Flora jumped back.
"What's wrong, Flora?"
"That… will burn Flora."
She hid behind Maia's shoulders while looking at the crystal with reservation.
"Really?"
"Scary."
Maia and Misho glanced at each other and realized what was going on. Since this Shattered Fire Crystal came from a meteor and was of the fire element, it must have some sort of ability to counter the plant element.
"Let's ask Jufri about it."
