His words made her tears flow even more fiercely.
"They say women are made of water, and it's true... tears like a faucet that can't be turned off."
She laughed at his joke, but still couldn't stop her tears.
He tenderly pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead softly. "Don't cry, be good..."
She couldn't control her sobbing, her body trembling in his embrace.
He gently patted her back, "I asked you to meet today, actually to say goodbye."
She abruptly raised her head.
He looked at her moist eyes, smiling warmly, "Since you've already made your decision, I have no reason to stay in Paris."
Alice Robinson was speechless and choked with emotions.
He gazed deeply at her, "Next month is my mother's memorial day. I want to go to Tokyo to see her... and maybe stay in Tokyo for a while."
She had no reason to stop him, so she couldn't speak.
"Say goodbye to Rachel for me, tell her Uncle Laurence will come to see her when he gets the chance."
