Something stopped me from acting completely. Janet's throat was just a millisecond away from being slit open. Another blood spread guilty on my hands. But I couldn't move. I literally couldn't.
"OOMPH!" Cyrus, with the back of his blade, hit Janet in her ribs and sent her flying far away just before she was about to be murdered in cold blood.
Well...she was saved, but at what cost? She screamed as her ribs tore into her lungs. Her screams attracted brave monks who stepped into the battlefield despite being horrified at the Shifter in front of them. Oob growled at the large creature.
They took her in, Cyrus was pissed off at the scene.
"ENOUGH!" He yelled. Thunder clapped above him as he rose 30 metres in the air. His sword, shining the single speck of sunray above him, blinded the Shifter before it could lift it's head up.
That's when I saw it.
The Sigil. Yet again.
I remembered the talking Shifter...The way it cried to me to keep it a secret.
