Because of it, Elder Blake and Rock took the impact. They weren't going for the kill; instead, both of them were trying to stop Scott.
It turned out to be fatal for them. Old man Rock was already injured and was only managing with his remaining body strength.
He received several blows to his side. Though he blocked most of them, a few landed squarely on his body.

As time passed, the old man failed to hold on. He coughed up blood at one point.
"What happened?" Blake asked. He could tell the old man was badly injured.
"Ha... Ha... Ha!" Scott laughed out loud. "One is down. Now it's time for you," he said before attacking Elder Blake.
On the other hand, I saw that old man Rock was injured. "Old man Rock, get down! There is no need to fight!" I shouted.
