Outside Vast Land
The Raven aircraft was flying continuously toward our destination. Inside the aircraft, the two of us were having this conversation.
Talia wanted my help to save her father. But I wasn't sure how serious his injuries were. Her family had already given him their healing resources, yet he was still not healed.
"What's your decision?" Talia asked.
Hearing that, I frowned. I didn't want to give her false hope. So far, she hasn't annoyed me. She was a nice person.
"I don't want to say anything before seeing the extent of the injuries myself," I replied.
"I believe you now," Talia replied.
Now she had decided to trust him. If the masked man were to give his word, she would have found it hard to believe. But he had given a realistic answer now.
So her trust grew. She didn't speak any further after that, enjoying looking at the passing scenery through the window.
