Inside the cave, there was an elevated platform at the front where a figure sat to judge. His silhouette was much like a human, but the dark cloak completely covered his head, making it impossible to tell if he had a face or not.
The judge had a stone tablet in hand that seemed to be used as a display screen.
Except for the judge, there was no one else there.
Seeing how peaceful it was inside the cave, Akira couldn't help but whisper under his breath, "This is… surprisingly bureaucratic."
Zaelek gave him a brief glance before whispering back. "Did you expect it to be chaotic?"
"Yes."
"..."
Akira stepped forward.
The judge sat upon a towering seat carved from dark stone, his presence overwhelming.
A large, molten crown suddenly came into view, hovering on the stone table beside the judge.
Akira swallowed as he saw its radiant red glow.
That's for me...?
He wondered in his mind.
