Her grin sharpened slightly as she confirmed, "I'm one of the Major Gods now."
Zaelek finally spoke, "Well, what are the chances?"
The Goddess seemed extremely pleased with this witty response and chuckled.
"I guess I was right to trust you."
Akira rubbed his forehead slowly.
He found himself completely lost in this conversation, unable to understand anything. Every new sentence somehow made less sense than the previous one.
"It really was incredible, though," the goddess spoke again, her piercing gaze settling directly onto Akira as she continued, "A one in a million chance."
Akira blinked.
"Who could have known that after nearly a hundred reincarnations…"
She pointed lazily toward Zaelek.
"…you would manage to meet him again."
Akira's expression froze entirely.
Beside him, even Zaelek looked visibly stunned as he raised his head.
"…What?" Akira asked quietly.
The Goddess of Chance tilted her head.
"Oh?" Her smile widened mischievously. "…Did he not tell you?"
