Chapter 404 - Chapter : 295 : The Power Of Technology

From sight, the Demons are extremely tall; every one of them is at least 3 meters, and their body structure is similar to that of a human. Their complexion tends to be dark grey and is very muscular. The most notable thing is the two horns on their heads, which are the hallmark characteristic of Abyss Demons. All kinds of talents add up, making the Abyss Demon a powerful race. They can both engage in melee combat and also fly to the sky and strike from the air. There are almost no drawbacks.

"These are Low-Level Demons." Kanna said coldly: "To distinguish the level of Demons, it mainly depends on their horns. On their horn, there is a magic pattern. Low-Level Demons have 1 magic pattern, an Intermediate-Level Demon has 2 magic patterns, and High-Level Demons have 3 magic patterns."

Everyone looked and found out that on the heads of these Demons, there was only 1 magic pattern, so they were Low-Level Demons. Although this was to be expected, only after seeing it with their own eyes was everyone relieved. This meant they only had to face the weakest Demons.

"But even the weakest Demons are still supernatural beings." Jörn shook his head and said, "If we are of the same level, there is no unit on our side that can compete, so we must rely on the advantage of numbers."

At this time, under the surveillance of the Sparrow, Sebastian found another group of Demons appearing.

"Intermediate-Level Demon." Sebastian saw the leader of this group of Demons, and there were 2 magic patterns on its horns.

"For the teams that have not yet arrived at the base, double time it," Sebastian shouted.

These Demons, having realized they had been discovered, gave up the raid. But Sebastian couldn't be careless either; he did not give the other party any opportunity. Soon after, a group of Supernatural teams ran to the base. Apparently, because of the presence of the Demons, they were panicking.

As for the Demons, they were in no hurry. After all Demons had emerged, they slowly moved toward the three bases.

"Sebastian, how many Demons have been spotted?" Volkmar asked. All the Demons had come in, with each team numbering around 1,000.

"Probably around 1.5 million," Sebastian replied.

On the side of the Coalition, there were well over 30 million, with each base holding about 10 million. In terms of numbers, they had an absolute advantage, but this was a defensive operation.

During the Demon mobilization, the Astra Militarum, with the droid support, erected a makeshift fortress rapidly. Various machines converted by the Cybertronians allowed the fort to be built quickly while their teammates were amazed.

20 hours later, a huge fortress capable of holding a million was established. Of course, this was accomplished with the 3D printing technology that the Astra Militarum had developed, which was now approaching maturity.

10,000 Cybertronians transformed into 10,000 3D printers, and layer by layer, they printed this fortress. It was still a little unpolished, as only the outermost layer was completed while the area was relatively narrow. It was almost overcrowded inside because it could only accommodate one million individuals, so the remaining unit could only hide in a canyon behind it. There, a temporary wall was also built, waiting for the fortress to expand to a large enough area to accommodate all of these supernatural creatures.

After a day, Demon armies from all directions converged and split into three groups to attack the three bases respectively, with each group consisting of half a million Demons. The attack on the main base was led by the most skilled Demon.

But when the Demon army arrived at the main base, they were surprised to find a towering fortress standing before them. It was 300 meters high, like a behemoth.

"What the f*ck?!" The leading Demon couldn't help but curse. Fighting on open plains gave them a huge advantage, but siege warfare was a whole different story, as it greatly reduced that advantage.

Many years ago, it was because of fortifications that the coalition had withstood the tide-like attacks of the Demon army. Not only this commanding Demon, but all the other Demons under his command also found the situation ridiculous.

"Could they have predicted we were coming?"

"Impossible. If they had known, how could our operation have gone so smoothly?"

"Then what's the story with this fortress? Who can explain it to me?"

"I don't know. Maybe it's an inherent skill of an unknown species?"

"Which species has such a power? Could it be a Demigod-Level? But if they had a Demigod-Level species, they wouldn't have used it just for defense."

"I don't understand. It's too abnormal."

The Demons discussed the situation while looking confused. Their plan had been to strike before the target was organized. Unexpectedly, in such a short time, a gigantic fortress had been built. It completely disrupted their objective.

Inside the Demon spaceship, the spectators were equally stunned. They didn't know what to do now. Launch a frontal assault? In siege warfare, they would have to pay a heavy price. In the end, they had no choice but to set up camp far away.

This was exactly what Sebastian wanted to see. While the Demon army rested, the many 3D printers worked around the clock. With 24 hours a day, the fortress continued to expand little by little. When the Demons woke the next morning, they discovered that the fortress had expanded further.

"No, they're expanding the fortress." A high-ranking Demon immediately realized what was happening, and his expression changed drastically.

The expressions of the other Demons also became solemn. At this rate, within a few more days, the fortress would be fully completed.

"Attack head-on." After some discussion, the Demons made a decision, as this could not be delayed any longer. But before launching the assault, they wanted to strike at the morale of the defender.

"People of the Coalition." A voice speaking the common language echoed outside the ship, and everyone's expression turned serious.

"My name is Eric," the Demon continued. "I ranked 10th in my people's competition. I heard that you also have a talented newcomer this year, and he is called Sebastian, who also serves as the Captain of the Star Watchers of this Planet. Who is Sebastian? Come out and speak with me."

Sebastian smiled faintly but made no move. His current identity was not the strongest freshman but the Captain of the Star Watchers. The other party's position did not match his, so there was no reason for Sebastian to appear.

Sergey stood up and shouted loudly, "How dare you act so arrogantly? You are not eligible to speak with our captain."

"Who are you?" Eric asked.

"I'm Sergey," Sergey replied loudly.

"Sergey?" Eric sneered. "Sorry, I've never heard of you. Let your captain come and speak with me."

"I already told you, you're not eligible," Sergey replied.

"You want to die?" Eric sneered. "Very well, I'll grant your wish. I initially intended to defeat your captain, but now I'll start with you."

"You want a duel?" Sergey narrowed his eyes and asked. This kind of challenge was common on the battlefield.

"A duel?" Eric smiled disdainfully. "Other than your captain, everyone else is beneath me. A one-on-one fight is too dull, so I'll send out 1,000, while you send out 10,000. You may also blend them however you like."

"Well? Do you dare?" Eric's tone was filled with sarcasm and disdain.

The Planetary Lords, many of them famous geniuses, felt a surge of anger. One after another, they turned to look at Sebastian. Whether to accept or refuse the challenge depended on the captain's decision.

"Sebastian, decide for yourself," Volkmar's voice sounded. "On this battlefield, you are the commander, so I cannot interfere with your decision."

Sebastian smiled and looked at Sergey. "What do you think?"

"If it were just me, I might not be so confident, but..." There was a hint of anger in Sergey's eyes as he said, "When we're fighting as a team, I'm not afraid of anything."

"Alright." Sebastian nodded and said loudly, " Eric, we accept your terms."

"Very good," Eric replied with a smile. "The battle will take place in front of the fortress, one hour from now. Agree?"

"See you in an hour," Sebastian answered calmly.
