After years of painful separation, I jumped with pure, unrestrained joy the moment I saw Zack once more. I literally leaped toward him and wrapped my legs tightly around his waist like a stubborn insect, refusing to let go of my beloved friend who had become like a true brother to me by this point in our lives.
He felt very flustered by my sudden enthusiasm and even went as far as asking if I had truly missed him. Like seriously? Does he honestly think I did not miss him at all after everything we had been through together?
"Of course I did! Why wouldn't I?" I said with a big, bright smile, kissing his cheek while he laughed awkwardly from the embarrassment. "You've grown so big! This is incredible! I still remember when you were just a kid though!"
"H-Hahaha, that was so long ago..." he said with a warm chuckle. "We've all had to grow up, you know? We couldn't stay as just kids forever... Well, except for you I guess?"
