But the man's relief was dashed instantly the moment he saw Nelphy leaping backward. Her forearm had been cut open, blocking her neck from a lethal strike. "He's trying to kill me too!"

Before the attacker could strike again, something blocked the dagger. An icy hand effortlessly stayed the blade and grabbed the man's hand wrapped around the knife's hilt. Abruptly, frost poured out of the hand and doused the attacker's entire arm in ice, freezing it solid.
"Aaaggh!" the man cried in pain.
The defender then kicked the attacker in the chest, promptly knocking him out with a single blow and leaving the ice all around his arm.
Looking at the man who defended her, Nelphy felt true relief. "Guild Master Nadon… Thank you."
"You're welcome. But I wish it was the city guards that you had to thank. What's going on here?" Nadon questioned, exposing his existence to everyone around. "Officer Gasson, what do you report?"
