Chapter 55 - The Elders.

Thud.

The final Frost Wolf hit the ground after the poor thing was attacked by all four Advanced-rank fighters.

"Good job, everyone!" Mayo praised. Everyone had exceeded his expectations.

Phina almost smiled until she thought, 'Wait...do hawks even have teeth?!'

She quickly rushed to the dead Flaming Frost Hawk's body. "FUCK!!"

"What a shame." Richen sighed. He then smiled to Phina. "At least we managed to beat the Lord with little to no inj-"

"Let's go!" Phina interrupted.

"Uh...where?" Richen questioned.

"To the other Beginner-rank Lords!! I need those fangs!!" Phina grit her teeth. All that trouble and she gained nothing.

"What other Lords?" Richen was taken aback.

"Oh, did I forget to tell you?" Mayo looked at Spear and Richen. "Looking back, I did only tell Shira."

'Let me get him into a little bit of trouble.' Spear smirked as he took a change of clothing from Mayo. "No, you told me on a different occasion. Why would you only exclude Richen?"

Richen eyed Mayo with a hint of fury in his eyes. "What's the meaning of this, Mayo?"

"I was pretty sure I only told Shira, Spear is lying, trust me Richen!" Mayo refuted. Spear was tagging along just this time, Richen was an old ally and friend. He could afford losing Spear and Shira, but not Richen and his Lion Hunting Team.

"It's not personal, he was going to use all of us. He didn't tell anyone. "Phina consoled in an anxious tone." Spear and I found out after investigating on our own, now can we please go before they run away?!"

Richen grit his teeth. "Alright, let's go. We'll talk later."

"Too bad." Spear chuckled as he sat on the ground.

"What are you doing?! They'll run away!!" Phina yelled at the spent Spear.

"If you think they'll actually run away, then you're vastly overestimating yourself." Spear scoffed. "Plus, I've already exhausted my World Energy reserves."

"…" Phina grit her teeth. "H-How can you be so reckless?!"

"I didn't expect the damn thing to hit me with an Ultimate so early into the fight." Spear sighed in frustration. He then looked towards Phina's gut. "Looks like I'm not the only one who's low on World Energy."

Phina felt her gut, where she kept her World Energy reserves, and realized just how low she was. 'Shit…that Flashing Step used up more than a tenth of my reserves…I can't afford to keep using it unless I'm fighting a bunch of low level Beasts.'

"Alright, let's rest for now." Mayo chuckled. "The Beasts aren't going anywhere."

Phina clicked her tongue. "Tsk. Fine. But if I don't get my fangs I want the Lord's corpse."

"That's…" Mayo hesitated.

"I have no need for the corpse." Spear sighed as he laid on the ground. "As far as I'm concerned, Shira saved my life. I owe her at least that."

"I did nothing to beat it. I don't even deserve a feather." Richen scoffed. "So, it's not a matter of everyone's good. It's your call 'Mayor'."

"Uhm…" Mayo looked around. "O-Of course!! I already owe you a lot for taking care of half the army!"

"Okay…" Phina sighed as she sat to rest. 'Will Old Man Tekker accept a different Lord if I give him an entire corpse? He should…I hope he does.'

Tekker had already helped Phina out a bunch. He had given her somewhere to stay, equipment and a goal. Plus, all her equipment is borrowed on the ground that she would get him three Beginner-rank Lord's fangs.

"Reporting, my Monarch!" an Angel kneeled before Rain, the Angel Monarch.

"Speak." Rain sighed as she massaged her forehead.

"We have suspicion that Seraphina Ender has been spotted near the Demonic Day." the soldier reported.

"What?!" Rain immediately stood up. "Send a message to the Human Monarch and the Elf Monarch! Tell them that we're moving out!!"

"Yes, my Monarch!" the man stood up then left her office, rushing to report to the other two Monarchs.

"..." Rain silently breathed as she fell into thought. She sighed then pulled out a necklace from within her shirt and sent Holy World Energy into it. The necklace started to glow as a figure appeared from within it.

An old man with feathered wings looked around. He spoke hoarsely as he looked at the Angel Monarch. "Rain...why have you interrupted my training? My time is limited, girl!!"

"Elder Ikor." Rain bowed. "My apologies, but we have discovered some important information. We might have hope for three pardons."

"WHAT?!" Ikor questioned with fury in his voice. "AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME EARLIER?!"

"I apologize, Elder Ikor. I did not have the information until a few minutes ago." Rain said, not a drop of anger or indignance in her tone.

"Well, let's move!!" Elder Ikor scolded. "Tell me on the way!!!"

"We need to wait, Elder." Rain stood up.

"What for, woman?! I have no damn time!!" Ikor grit his teeth with wrath.

"We must wait for the other Monarchs, Elder. The Demibeast-Orc-Demon alliance has probably caught wind of this. We must attack together." Rain explained coldly. "Elder Ikor, I understand your panic, but you must remember...you are not the Monarch anymore."

"You've grown some balls since I last seen you." Ikor growled as he released his cold Aura.

"I am a woman, Elder." Rain released an even colder Aura.

"An Angel with an Ice Aura? How shameless!" Ikor flared his Aura as he add the Holy element.

"You should calm down, Elder Ikor. We wouldn't want you to hurt your old body, no?" Rain flared her Aura too.

Whoosh!

Five figures appeared in the room.

"Calm down, old man. I see you've gotten even more anger-prone with time." an old Human man with a goatee smirked as he stood next to Bowlen, the Human Monarch. His white hair flowed slightly from the Aura clash of two Law-rankers. Next to him stood an old Human woman with gorgeous long hair. While her hair had turned white from age, she still had the figure of an undeniable beauty. The old woman giggled lightly at her husband's provocation.

"Damn brats!! You think just because you were the geniuses of your time that you can stand up to me?!" Ikor glared at the two old Humans.

"Calm down, Ikor. Faust and Denise are not children anymore." a young looking ginger haired Elf walked from behind Legirin, the old Elf Monarch. "We must calm down and find this Seraphina girl."

"L-Lord Jefiri?! You're still alive?!" Ikor was taken aback. "How do you look so young?!"

"Now, now, don't curse me as dead yet, little Ikor." Jefiri chuckled lightly. "I managed to grasp a second Law, the Law of Life. Using it, I converted a large portion of my Life Energy maximum into Lifespan."

"You've learned two Laws and His Eternal Majesty still hasn't chosen you?!" Ikor's jaw dropped.

"There is a difference between starting to learn a Law and completely understanding how to apply and use a Law." Jefiri sighed. "I've reached a bottleneck with my Law of Wind, so I started on the Law of Life. I can't believe I've reached a bottleneck with that as well. I've been going around the Killers' Arena for a few decades now...I've almost given up, but...I just hope I can get one more fight. Maybe that will push me over the edge and let me reach the Lord-rank."

"..."

"..."

"..."

No one said a thing. All seven people here were Law-rankers, all at the High stage. Rain, Bowlen, Legirin, Faust, Denise and Ikor all feared the seventh among them, Jefiri. The reason was pretty obvious. He has two, while incomplete still terrifying, Laws in his arsenal. All Law-rankers in the Killers' Arena only had one, enemy Law-rankers included. This monster could probably fight three Law-rankers on his own. Since he was using two Laws within his own body, he could get his two Laws to work together to reach a level of combat power equivalent to three Law-rankers working with each other less efficiently.

"I'd hate to cut this conversation short, but we need to move quickly." Legirin coughed. He still carried himself with dignity. Ikor and Jefiri were the only two older than him. Ikor was five years his elder and Jefiri was older by around 200 years. "I believe the enemy is already on the hunt for the woman."

"Very well. Let's move out." Jefiri smiled as he combed back his slightly long hair, revealing his bloodthirsty eyes. "Let's go have some fun."
