Look carefully at the other books; they all have these covers, one of them even has black dots.
She drops it.
She fidgets; this is not at all conventional.
She reaches into the pocket of her trench coat and unlocks her gun.
She jumps when she hears the door open.
She turns and sees Sam standing by the door.
Behind him, a second man enters, taller, more robust, about 45 years old.
He tells her not to worry; these are hobbies he's had since he was young.

This lightens the atmosphere a bit.
The agent moves away from the chair and moves a little closer to the armchair, feigning calm.
Neither of the 2 men has moved from the door.
Sam invites the officer to sit.
When she reluctantly sits, the older man walks over to his desk and sits in his chair.
He tells Brown that he'll still be present during the interview, since Sam is his partner.
The officer tells him it's no problem, but when he's summoned to the station, he'll need to bring his lawyer with him if necessary.
For now, that's not necessary.
Sam pulls a folding chair from behind the door.
Annie wonders what else they've brought that they didn't bring with them when they came in.
In case of an emergency, she has her weapon unlocked and ready.
Sam places the chair in front of the coffee table, creating a triangular view of the three of them.
This relieves Annie a bit and gives her more time to react.
