Charlotte Allison wanted to grasp his hand, but he just briefly held hers before letting go.
As Charlotte heard the sound of another car speeding towards them, Lucas Quinn emerged from the grass only to be caught in the headlights of the approaching vehicle, accompanied by gunfire.
Apart from the firelight, there was complete darkness. As several cars rushed forward, Charlotte felt the piercing glare of their headlights through the gaps in the weeds.
Through the gun's scope in her hand, Charlotte saw a man in a suit nimbly jump out from the forefront SUV, his right arm empty.
It was Master Frederick.
Gazing at Lucas, who was illuminated by the headlights, he laughed wildly:
"Well, isn't this the head of the Quinn family? What a coincidence."
