Russell and Carpenter didn't have much interest in the Rommel incident.
After all, it wasn't someone they knew, nor did they have any previous grievances.
Their teacher 'Gilbert' really had a wonderful personality... Even when he watched enthusiastically and calculated how many gifts Mage Rommel received and the types, he wouldn't drag Russell and Carpenter along to watch with him.
This reaffirmed to Russell once again that their teacher lacked some common flaws of those in power... such as the idea that things he was interested in had to interest his subordinates and family members too.
These individuals in power would require commentary from those around them while they watched.
However, most people can't possibly share likes with those in power, much less dare to speak freely in their presence.
Hence, having to accompany these individuals and carefully avoid speaking words that might offend these powerful figures influencing their lives or even fate... it truly is torturous.
