Lucien cursed quietly under his breath.
"That fast?"
Simon nodded grimly. "And according to our informant…"
He paused briefly.
"They're led by someone called Raven."
The moment that name was mentioned, Lucien's expression changed slightly.
Xylia noticed immediately. "Who's Raven?"
Simon looked unusually serious now.
"He's one of the Crimson Syndicate's executioners."
Lucien added quietly, "And probably their most dangerous one."
A cold feeling crept down Xylia's spine. "What kind of person is he?"
Nobody answered.
Then a few seconds before Aciel finally spoke.
"A monster."
The room fell silent again.
Even Aciel's voice carried genuine hostility. Which meant this Raven person was truly dangerous.
Simon rubbed the back of his neck. "There's a rumor about him."
Xylia swallowed nervously. "What rumor?"
Simon's eyes darkened.
"Every city Raven enters eventually turns into a bloodbath."
