Alex stood frozen by the vending machine. The crushed cola can dripped sticky brown liquid between his fingers.
His red eyes scanned every figure in the busy hallway. Students streamed past in laughing groups, oblivious to the terror still gripping his chest.
His heart pounded loud enough to drown out their chatter. Sweat beaded cold on his forehead and lower back.
Liza's voice came calm but serious in his head, trying to bring him back to the calm state. 'Stay calm, Alex. Your senses are on high alert now... That's normal after something like that. I'm working as hard as I can to absorb more lust energy. The more I take in, the stronger I get. Soon I'll have enough to recreate my physical body again. When that happens, I can protect us properly.'
Hearing her sweet succubus voice, Alex whispered back low so no one would overhear, lips barely moving. "Do they know I have you? Or are they coming for me specifically?"
