Alex's mother wiped down the kitchen counter, setting the drying rag beside the sink with a satisfied sigh.
Rose stood nearby, hanging up the wet towels with an innocent cute smile, acting like the perfect guest.
Across the kitchen, Janeth finished clearing the last of the tea glasses, her posture relaxed and composed.
"Right then!" his mother spoke, resting her hands on her hips as she looked over the three of them.
"Sleeping arrangements! Alex, you and Rose take the room like the usual. As for Janeth, dear, I found a pair of my old pajamas for you to sleep in, and I set up the living room couch with fresh sheets. I hope that's alright."
Rose's green eyes flicked toward Janeth, a subtle victorious smirk formed on her face.
But, Janeth didn't flinch or complain, taking the folded grey clothes from his mother, giving a polite quiet nod. "The couch is fine, ma'am. Thank you for having me."
