Alex didn't stop walking toward the bathtub. He reached the edge, placed one hand on the rim, and stepped in over the side.
"W-Wait! What are you doing?!" Janeth shrieked, getting upward with a flustered expression, her arms clamped tight across her chest, the water sloshing violently around her. "Alex, you can't just—"
"There's plenty of room." Alex said flatly, stepping his other leg in and lowering himself into the hot water behind her.
The tub was wide enough to fit two people comfortably, with space between them if they wanted it.
Sinking into the hot water with a heavy sigh, his back resting against the back wall, his legs stretching out along either side of Janeth's body.
She sat between his thighs, her back a few inches from his bare chest, the hot water rising around them both.
Janeth sat rigid as a statue, her shoulders were hunched up to her ears, her breathing shallow and awkward.
