I just wanted to pop in and say "I'm still working on the revamp."
As we all know, life can be brutal. But we persevere. I haven't gotten nearly as far as I would have liked to and that is mostly my own fault. With the changes and additions I have in store, I found out far too late that it would just be quicker to re-write each chapter with the original as reference.
Add on my own stupidity that nearly lost the entire story (old, new, and notes) while cleaning up storage on my PC and you have a recipe for disappointment. Thankfully, I managed to recover! To avoid this potentially devastating event from happening again, I now have an additional copy stored on an external drive which is simultaneously updating with my primary copy.
At the new rate of progress, I plan to release the new first chapter on July 13th at 1201 EST. Subsequent releases will follow a weekly schedule after that to afford myself time to continue the re-write and, eventually, entirely new releases.
With sixty-one existing chapters to re-write, I plan to update the release rate to two chapter every Monday down the road. Yes, you read that correctly. I originally had sixty chapters released before burning myself out the first go around and an additional chapter, none of you had ever seen. With the release schedule I have pre-mapped in my head, you all will have forty-two chapters by the end up the year and brand new releases starting in early March of next year.
I think that about sums up the update so I'll finish this off by saying that those of you that have shown me support in the past have my utmost thanks. Seeing this story, as incomplete and unpolished as it was, received the attention that it had is precisely why I haven't given up.
