(Hawk Moth's lair)
"How is this possible!?" Hawk Moth says angrily. "Ladybug and Catnoir weren't enough, now this other hero appears!" He clenches his fist in annoyance. "Black wings, fall!"
Gabriel takes Nooroo in one of his hands and stares at him.
"Nooroo, who was that new hero? Was he a new miraculou or something?" Grabriel asks frustrated and annoyed.
"I, I don't know master!" Nooroo says a little nervously. "I've never heard of a Miraculou capable of summoning a dragon and turning it into armor."
"And how did he manage to destroy my Akuma? Wasn't it only Ladybug who could purify them?" Grabriel let go of Nooroo, now looking calmer.
"I don't know either, master. As I said before, I've never seen anything like it." Nooroo says.
"I'll go to the Miraculous book and see if I can find anything about this... Ryukendo." Gabriel speaks, he walks away to the elevator of his lair and Nooroo quickly hides in her clothes.
(At school)
"Man, did you see how he fought?!" Kim says impressed and happy as he watches the video of the fight. "He summoned that sword, then he struck a pose, then he summoned that dragon, then the dragon flew up and roared in the sky! Man that was so cool!"
"Is he a superhero like Ladybug and Catnoir?" Ivan asked as he watched the video of the fight.
"Look, as far as I can tell, he's a cautious loner, since he didn't want to stay and talk to Ladybug or record the video with Alya." Max says, analyzing the video.
"And what was that final attack he did, the one where he spun in the air and cut the monster in half, what was it called again?" Kim wonders.
"I think it was Madan Slash." Ivan says, and waves from the Madan Slash pass in the video. "That's right."
"Madan Slash... he said he was some kind of Madan Warrior, didn't he?" Kim asks thoughtfully at the beginning of the video.
"Are these Madan Warriors an order of knights or something?" Kim says.
"Unlikely." Max says. "It's probably just his full title."
"But there's still that possibility." Ivan says.
Further away from the three students' conversation, Adrian, Nino and Shinji were sitting on a bench in the school as they chatted.
"So you're an exchange student from Japan?" Nino asks.
"Yeah, that's pretty much it." Shinji replies.
"And what made you leave your home country to come to Paris?" Adrian asks, curious about Shinji's situation.
"Well..." Shinji ponders what he can say. "Kind of... there were personal problems and I had to move."
"I see." Adrian says, putting a hand on Shinji's shoulder and smiling at him. "I know what it's like to feel isolated in a new place, that's why we're with you!"
"That's it!" Nino gives Shinji a gentle pat on the back. "We'll help you settle in, man, don't worry."
"Thanks, guys." Shinji gives a slight smile, seeing that he's already made two potential friends.
Before they knew it, Marinette and Alya were approaching them.
"Hey, guys!" Alya says. "So, what did you think of the video I made of Ryukendo?"
"I thought it was pretty cool!"
"I thought it was pretty cool the way he fought."
"Who's Ryukendo?" Shinji asks and gets a surprised look from the four of them.
"What do you mean you don't know?! He's the hero who helped Ladybug and Catnoir yesterday afternoon!" Alya says. "Besides, I posted a video of his fight."
"Sorry." Shinji scratches the back of his head. "It's just that I got here yesterday and I don't have a cell phone yet."
"No problem, I'll show you the video." Adrian takes out his cell phone and puts in the video. Showing Ryukendo's fight against the monster praying mantis, Shinji looks at the video in amazement at how cool it looks.
"He really fights well." Shinji said.
"But anyway, you're Marinette's new host, right?" Alya says.
"Yes, I'm staying at the Dupain Cheng bakery."
"So how about we go for a walk together?" Alya suggests with a little smile.
"A walk?" Adrian asks.
"Yes, it is! And, and... if you want to come along, you can..." Marinette says, scratching the back of her head in embarrassment.
Shinji noticed the way Marinette acted around Adrian, realizing at once what had happened to her.
"Well, I guess it's okay, but can Nino and Adrian come too?"
"Of course!" Alya says. "Then I'll meet you at the amusement park tomorrow!"
Alya quickly picks up Marinette and takes her to the exit.
"Is she referring to the amusement park that arrived recently?" Nino asks.
"Probably." Adrian says.
"Don't look at me, I got here yesterday." Shinji raises his arms in defense.
In a theater, people are auditioning to perform in the park.
A red-haired woman dressed as a magician shuffles the cards, but ends up dropping them on the floor.
"This isn't working." One of the judges puts his hand to his forehead in frustration
"Wait, wait! Please give me one more chance!" The woman pleads as she picks up the cards. "I swear I'll get it this time."
"Look, I'm sorry. But this isn't going to work." Another judge says. "We've given you enough chances."
"Please, I've always wanted to do magic for children! So don't disapprove of me!"
"I'm really sorry, but if you can't do a single common magic trick, you can't become a magician." The judge says, picks up his clipboard and starts writing. "Next!"
The woman feels as if her world has been destroyed. Walking groggily out of the hall, she sees the next person to take the test.
Entering the bathroom, she rests her hands on the sink as she stares at herself. "Why... why do I have to be so useless..."
In his lair, Hawk Moth listens to the woman's prayers and sorrow. "Ahh a pure soul who has had her dreams destroyed by her own inability."
Hawk Moth extends his hand, a butterfly lands on his hand before he envelops it in his dark aura. Releasing it, the butterfly begins to fly.
As the butterfly flew around the city, it stopped at the restroom where the woman was and flew into her chest, stopping at her heart.
"Magician, I am Hawk Moth. I have seen the injustice that the chaotic world has done to you, so I will give you power so that you can show everyone the real magic! In return, I want you to get Ladybug and Catnoir's Miraculous."
"Understood, I'll show the world what real magic is!" The woman speaks and she is soon enveloped in a black aura.
Shinji was on a bench, listening to music while watching people running around and children playing with the park's attractions.
[Hey, Shinji.]
"What's wrong?"
[I'm not sure, but I think the Green Ghost might not have come here by himself].
"Why do you think that?"
[I can't say, but I think he might have had help being brought here.]
"Could it be the same guy who created that black butterfly that turned that person into a monster?" Shinji says, he looks around and sees Alya approaching with Marinette.
[Maybe. If another one of those butterflies appears, try to capture it without killing it so I can analyze it."]
"Right." Shinji stands up, takes off his headphones and walks over to Marinette. "Hi, girls! Is it just you guys?"
"Yeah!" Alya sighs in fake frustration. "We even asked other friends to come, but they were busy."
"Where's Adrian, anyway? Wasn't he coming here with Nino?" Marinette asks, looking around.
"Well, they still aren't." Shinji looks behind the girls and sees Adrian approaching with Nino by his side. "They're right over there."
"What's up, guys! Did it take us long?" Nino asks, waving to them.
"No problem, we just got here!" Alya looks at her cell phone. "There's still time to play some games!"
Nino picks up a basketball and throws it, but misses.
"What?!" Nino says in frustration.
"Let me try!" Marinette picks up a ball and throws it, but also misses. "Really?"
"Hehe, that's right, kids!" The owner of the toy laughs. "It's not that easy to get it right, is it?"
"Actually, it is." Shinji says, surprising everyone there. "I'll give you an example." Shinji picks up a ball, places it in Adrian's hands, leaving the boy in front of him, Shinji instructs him. "Adrian, as soon as you throw the ball, move your fingers to make the ball spin as it falls."
"Ah, good..." Adrian says confused by the instruction. He does as Shinji instructs and then throws the ball, hitting the basket and causing it to fall into it.
"Did it work?!" Alya asks in surprise.
"I don't think so..." Nino says.
"So..." Shinji walks up to the owner of the toy and gives him a challenging look. "What's the prize?"
The owner of the toy bites his lip before picking up an elephant stuffed animal. Adrian takes the stuffed animal, thanking the toy owner, and the five of them leave and walk back through the park.
"So, Shinji. You still don't have a cell phone, do you?" Alya asks while walking.
"Yes, I still don't have a cell phone."
"So how come you're glued to the news and stuff, and how do you entertain yourself?" Nino asks.
"First, there's television. Secondly, I have my Walkman." Shinji takes his Walkman out of his jacket and shows it to the guys.
"Wow, and what kind of music do you have on there?" Adrian asks surprised by the Walkman.
"Classical music, oriental music, some rock and romantic music." Shinji says.
"Whoa, whoa! We've got a romantic here!" Alya says, covering her mouth in amusement.
"Alya, stop teasing him!" Marinette says, lightly elbowing her friend in the arm.
"But that aside, I'd like to know something. Who were those two wearing black and red pajamas?" Shinji asks.
"Pajamas?" The four of them ask, before starting to laugh at the question.
"Dude, you mean Ladybug and Catnoir?" Nino asks, laughing as he wipes away a tear.
"Look, I suggest you watch the video I posted earlier!" Alya laughs.
"Well, I'm new to Paris, then-"
*BOOM*
"What was that?!" Nino asks excitedly. Meanwhile, Marinette, Adrian, Shinji and Alya look at the site of the explosion to see what happened.
"Hello, everyone!" A red-haired woman wearing a magician's outfit jumps on top of a Ferris wheel and speaks to the people. "I am the Magician, and I will show you all true magic!"
The Magician raises her magic wand and shoots some fireworks across the park. People run and protect their heads so as not to get hurt.
Shinji and the others go into an alleyway to protect themselves from the shots.
"Is there an escape route around here?" Shinji asks.
"I won't miss it!" Alya takes out her cell phone, opening the camera, she runs towards the Akumatized.
"Alya, you crazy woman!" Nino says. He tries to go after her, but is stopped by Adrian.
"I'm going after her. Shinji, take Nino and Marinette to safety!" Adrian says and he immediately runs after Alya.
"Right, let's go!" Shinji holds both their hands and they start running. They make their way to the entrance of a train line. "You stay here, I'll go after Adrian."
Marinette and Nino stand on the steps to the train entrance, Nino soon heads into the station, but Marinette decides to turn back.
"Hahaha look at the real magic!" The Magician fires a bolt of lightning at a balloon and causes a fat giant made of a balloon to appear. She fires another ray at a candy stand and a giant made of lollipops appears.
"You look very lively, have you ever thought about working at a children's party?" Catnoir lands in front of the Magician. "I have a cousin who's turning a year old now."
"That makes two of us." Ladybug lands behind Magician. "I have a friend who's quite into magicians."
"Hoho, well, come on then!" Magician fires a blast at her feet, making a smoke screen.
Catnoir advances against Magician, launching an attack with his staff, but Magician defends with arm guards. They fight each other, Ladybug throws her yo-yo at her legs, knocking her to the ground. Catnoir tries to hit her in the head, but she deflects it and uses her arms to knock him down.
Far away, Shinji is on a rooftop watching the fight at the top of the Ferris wheel, he looks to the side and sees the lollipop giant and the balloon giant.
[Are you ready?]
A light illuminates Shinji's body and a black cloak appears on him. Shinji lifts the hood to cover his face.
"Absolutely." Shinji says, he puts his hand on his waist and turns Gekiryuken into his sword. Opening the key slot, he takes out his key. "Gekiryu Key!" Shinji fits the key into the sword. "Activate!"
[Change, Ryukendo!]
Shinji raises his sword above him. "Gekiryu Henshin!" Shinji raises his sword, and a blue dragon emerges from it and flies into the sky. The dragon roars while in the sky.
Ladybug, Catnoir and Magician look up at the sky and say at the same time. "That's him!"
The dragon flies up to Shinji, as armor forms around the boy, he jumps off the roof with a somersault and lands on the ground. Ryukendo looks ahead and starts to run.
Alya, who was standing nearby and recording the scene, looks at Ryukendo. She runs as she follows him. Ryukendo walks up to the two giants, looking at them intently.
"The balloon giant will be easier to deal with." Ryukendo says, he jumps towards the balloon giant. The monster tries to punch Ryukendo, but he just extends his sword and blows the balloon up.
Ryukendo lands on the ground, he looks up at the lollipop giant and stares at him.
"Go on, Ryukendo!" Alya says from a distance as she points her camera at Ryukendo.
Ryukendo looks confused at the girl standing nearby, and before the giant can step on Ryukendo, he jumps backwards, dodging his footstep. Ryukendo turns away from him and thinks.
"Okay, using the Final Key now could be a problem." Ryukendo says, he raises his sword to attack the gogante, but Gekiryuken speaks.
[Shinji, use the new key.]
"New key?" Ryukendo asks, before he can think any further, his Keyguard glows, showing a new key on it.
[The Madan Knockle. Use it to attack the giant.]
"Right!" Ryukendo dodges another stomp, he picks up the key and activates it. "Knockle Key!" He fits the key into his sword. "Activate!"
[Madan Knockle!]
"Come out, Madan Knockle!" Ryukendo extends his right hand upwards, a blue portal appears above him and a light emerges from the portal and goes to his hand. The Madan Knockle appears in Ryukendo's hand.
The lollipop giant tries to punch Ryukendo, but the Madan Warrior punches the giant's arm, destroying it instantly.
The giant walks away while holding his destroyed arm. Ryukendo keeps the Gekiryuken around his waist. He pulls on Madan Knockle's head, making it carry more power.
"Madan Punch!" Ryukendo punches the air, causing a blast of blue energy to fly towards the lollipop giant, destroying it completely.
"How incredible!" Alya says with extreme joy as she records.
"Shit!" Magician says, realizing that her monsters have been destroyed. She looks forward to see Ladybug and Catnoir staring at her.
"You're screwed now, we have a new companion to help us." Catnoir says, pointing his staff at her.
"Well..." Magician raises his wand. "Let's see what you can do with an out-of-control wheel."
Ladybug and Catnoir are confused, before they can think any further. Magician jumps off the Ferris wheel, as she falls she fires two bursts of energy at the Ferris wheel's supports.
Destroying the supports and causing the wheel to start spinning.
"No, no, no!" Catnoir said nervously as the wheel moved.
"We have to see if there's anyone inside the wheel!" Ladybug says, and she jumps off the wheel and swings around trying to find people.
Catnoir follows her as she clings to the trolleys, but sees no one. "They look empty!"
"Right!" Ladybug lands on the roof of a house, raises her yo-yo and says "Lucky charm!" Ladybug uses her power and makes a security ribbon appear. "What?!"
Ryukendo, who had seen the wheel jump, starts to run towards it. But he gets frustrated as the wheel goes faster and faster.
"Damn, I'm not that fast!" Ryukendo mutters in frustration.
[Call Brave Lion, he can help you].
"That's right!" Ryukendo takes out his key and activates it. "Lion Key!" He fits the key into his sword. "Activate!"
[Brave Lion!]
"Come out Brave Lion!" Ryukendo raises his sword, causing a portal to appear in the sky and a lion to emerge from it.
"GRRR" Brave Lion roars, he jumps out of the portal, landing behind Ryukendo, he starts running alongside him.
Ryukendo jumps on Brave Lion's back and the two of them head towards the Ferris wheel.
"Where's Magician?!" Catnoir asks as he jumps in front of the Ferris wheel and catches people in its path to prevent the wheel from crushing them.
"We have to stop this Ferris wheel!" Ladybug looks around, seeing that the wheel is passing between a street, she thinks of a plan. "Catnoir, help me out here!"
Ladybug jumps forward, using her yo-yo, she attaches it to the wheel, resting her feet against the ground, she pulls the wheel. Catnoir takes the front of the wheel, he stretches out his stick and hooks it into the wheel to stop it, but it keeps moving forward.
"What?!" Catnoir asks, frustrated and annoyed.
Before he can think any more, Ryukendo, who is riding a lion, runs up to the wheel. Brave Lion jumps on the wheel and bites its side while Ryukendo jumps further down the wheel. The three of them hold the wheel together with Brave Lion, bringing it to a halt in a few moments.
Ryukendo is relieved to have brought the wheel to a halt, but then he sighs and hears someone approaching him.
"What's up, Ryukendo! You came, man!" Catnoir approaches Ryukendo and slaps him on the back, but he rubs his hand in pain when it hits his armor.
"I couldn't just leave you and the little red girl there alone." Ryukendo says. He looks over and sees Ladybug landing on his side.
"Gee, thanks a lot for helping." Ladybug says, landing next to the two of them. "Who's that, anyway?"
Ladybug looks at Brave Lion, who has run up to Ryukendo and sat down next to him.
"This is Brave Lion." Ryukendo reaches out and strokes Brave Lion's head. "He's my Madan Beast."
"Woo what a cute thing!" Catnoir approaches Brave Lion to stroke him, but Brave Lion just tries to bite his hand. "Wow!" Catnoir quickly pulls his hand away.
"Hehe, I don't think he likes you very much." Ryukendo laughs, but he quickly looks up when he sees someone coming.
"Well, well, you're really impressive, Ryukendo!" Magician says cheerfully as he walks towards the three of them.
"Well, I guess now-" Ladybug tries to say, but Ryukendo steps forward.
Ryukendo draws his sword and raises it to attack Magician. Magician just raises his wand and erects a stone wall to defend himself. Ladybug and Catnoir watch the fight.
"What do we do?"
"Let me see..." Ladybug looks around, she sees the fight and sees Brave Lion sitting and just watching. Looking at the security tape in his hand, she thinks of something. "Catnoir, Brave Lion, with me!"
Ladybug throws the tape at them, they both catch it and don't understand, but decide to follow Ladybug. While Ryukendo and Magician fight, Ladybug, Catnoir and Brave Lion run around Magician, leaving her confused.
Ryukendo kicks her in the stomach, providing a distraction for the others to tie her up and bind her with the ribbons. Magician is trapped, her arms and legs pinned.
"Go on! Use your attack!" Ladybug says as she pulls on the ribbons to keep Magician trapped.
"Looks like they really are heroes." Ryukendo takes a key from his keyguard, he activates it. "Final Key!" He fits the key into his sword. "Activate!"
[Final Blade!]
Ryukendo runs towards Magician, he raises his sword which lights up with a white light. "Madan Slash!"
With one swift movement, Ryukendo slashes diagonally at Magician. Magician who has just been slashed, falls to the ground with a line of light on his chest from the cut.
Ladybug and Catnoir approach Magician, seeing her lying on the ground with the cut on her chest, they look at her and worry.
"Did you... did you kill her?" Catnoir asks worriedly
"No, I just purified her." Ryukendo says, and in a few moments the Magician is back to normal and the Akuma comes out of her chest.
Ladybug quickly grabs her yo-yo to catch the Akuma, but Ryukendo is quicker and grabs it with his free hand.
"Is that an Akuma?" Ryukendo asks. Before the other two heroes can say anything, Ryukendo lifts Gekiryuken and shows him the butterfly. "Gekiryuken, can you analyze this Akuma?"
[...Apparently, this Akuma is wrapped in chaos energy].
Ladybug and Catnoir are shocked to hear the sword speak.
"Can you find the location where it came from?"
[...I'm sorry, but her route is a mess. I can't find where it came from."]
"I see..." Ryukendo closes his hand and kneads the butterfly. He looks around and sees the destruction all around. "So... what do we do now?"
"Oh, that's right!" Ladybug notices the destruction, she quickly throws the ribbon up and shouts. "Miraculous Ladybug!" The magical ladybugs soon fly around the city and repair everything that was destroyed.
"That's... that's really beautiful." Ryukendo says.
"Yeah, it's always beautiful when you see it for the first time." Catnoir says, leaning on Ryukendo's shoulder and looking at Gekiryuken. "And you, man. Who are you?"
Ryukendo lifts Gekiryuken and they talk.
[You can call me Gekiryuken, I'm Ryukendo's protector].
"Protector?" Ladybug asks. "So you're like our Miraculous?"
[I'm not sure what these Miraculous would be, but if it's something that protects them and gives them their powers, then yes.]
"Oh my God, oh my God!" Alya runs up to the three of them while recording. "Oh my god, that was so amazing, and that lion!" Alya points her camera at Brave Lion, who is sitting on the ground next to Ryukendo. "What a great thing!"
Alya tries to touch Brave Lion, but pulls her hand away when he tries to bite her.
"Sorry, he's not much for talking to strangers." Ryukendo looks at Brave Lion and says. "Brave Lion, you can rest now."
Brave Lion roars, a magical portal appears beneath him and he is sucked into it.
"Wooooh how did you do that?" Alya asks, pointing her camera at Ryukendo.
"Magic."
[Ryukendo, I think we need to go. You have an appointment to keep, don't you?]
"Holy shit, the sword is talking!" Alya points her camera at Gekiryuken. "How do you talk? Are you a spirit? Are you a Miraculous too?"
[Sorry, I'm not supposed to answer your questions. Ryukendo, come on.]
"Understood. See you later, Ladybug and Catnoir." Ryukendo says and starts to walk away from them.
"Wow... isn't it amazing that his sword can talk?!" Alya points her camera at the two heroes.
"Even I was surprised. But that was really cool!" Catnoir says looking happy.
"Yeah, right! And you don't know what that sword is?"
"Sorry, we have to go." Ladybug says, watching her earrings beep. "Let's go!"
Ladybug uses her yo-yo to hang on and move around the buildings, Catnoir soon says goodbye to Alya and follows Ladybug.
"Come on! I can never talk to you for more than two minutes?" Alya clicks her tongue in frustration.
"Finally, Alya! Have you stopped hunting the heroes?" Shinji asks, watching Alya run up to him and Nino.
"Jesus, Alya. Are you all right?" Nino asks, seeing Alya's exhaustion.
"Yes, I..." Alya breathes heavily. "I am... but finally!" Alya quickly recovers. "I managed to record Ryukendo and you won't believe it!"
"Guys! Did it take me long?!" Adrian asks, arriving with the others.
"No, you're early." Shinji says laughing.
"Sorry, guys!" Marinette runs up to the others. "Did I miss something?"
"Yes, you did, look here!" Alya takes out her cell phone and shows the video of the fight.
The four in front of her look at the cell phone and are impressed.
"Holy shit! Can Ryukendo really summon a Lion?" Nino asks surprised by the appearance of Brave Lion.
"And he said his name was Brave Lion!" Alya says excitedly. "This is sure to be a hit on the Lady blog!"
"He seems to use these keys to activate his powers, like, he already said Final Key and Lion Key in this video." Adrian says thoughtfully.
"If he uses those keys on his belt, does he have more of them?" Marinette says.
"Does he?!" Alya jumps on her friend and speaks with an extremely happy face. "And besides, that sword of his talks!"
"The sword talks?" Nino asks.
"Yes! Look!" Alya shows the scene in which she talks to Gekiryuken.
"Hey, Marinette." Shinji says, catching her eye. "Do you mind if I ask you a question?"
"Oh, sure."
"Are those Ladybug and Catnoir really heroes?"
"Of course they are!" Alya says, intruding on the conversation. She leans on Shinji's shoulder and shows him her cell phone. "All the information about the two of them is on my LadyBlog! All you have to do is log in and read it."
"You forgot that I still don't have a cell phone." Shinji says, and Alya feels as if an inner glass has shattered.
"Oh, yeah."
