Honestly… I agree with this because if they don't have the stomach for this… I don't think they would be able to advance very far as a healer.
They were already at least tier two in Iatromancy at this point which meant that they would have to be able to deal with even worse maladies in the higher tiers of this magic.
And if holding a beating heart is too much for them… Then this is the highest tier they could ever reach.
Well… Then again… The professor did make us do other stuff aside from just holding a heart…
We were even told to come up to the cadaver and reach into its body and start dissecting it as well and were even made to hold parts of it while she explained each of the organ's functions to the rest of the class.
