King Garrie was immediately pushed backward by the force of the clash. His boots carved deep trenches across the shattered ground before he finally drove his sword into the earth to stop himself. Even then, it still took several seconds before his body finally came to a halt.
That alone made the king even more vigilant.
The Void Architect had become stronger again. He was certain of it.
That was not a good sign.
"I thought I had cornered him... but that thing can still become even stronger."
Once again, despair crept into the king's heart. It had disappeared only moments ago after witnessing the Void Architect weaken. Now, it seemed that everything that had happened earlier had meant nothing at all.
"Do not fall into despair, human king."
Suddenly, King Garrie heard the voice of a woman echo inside his mind. The voice sounded soft and weak. Yet somehow, behind that gentle tone, he could feel unimaginable power.
"Who are you?" King Garrie asked with an apprehensive expression.
