Arthur caught the strike with his bare forearm, and the impact rattled through the hall loud enough to draw a flinch from the kneeling fighters watching. He didn't budge an inch.
A faint golden light stirred beneath his skin at the point of contact, and the demon's arm shuddered from the force pushing back against it.
The demon pulled back, flexing its clawed hand as if testing whether it still worked.
Arthur answered with a single step forward and a straight punch to its chest.
*Boom!*
The demon flew backward through two of its own kind before slamming into the far wall, cracking the stone on impact. It slid down and stayed there for a moment, gray light flickering weakly across its skin.
Two more of the strangler demons closed in at once from either side, testing whether numbers could do what one alone hadn't managed.
