Seeing this, Xu Yuan tentatively called out, "Second cousin?"
Xu Qing still didn't respond, continuing to stare blankly out the window.
Xu Yuan, puzzled by this, turned her head towards Gu Zhiqi, "Sister, this?"
Gu Zhiqi gave her a look, then stepped over to the other side of the bed, and glanced at Xu Qing.
Only then did she notice that Xu Qing's eyes had no focus, as if he were a person who had lost his soul.
Gu Zhiqi paused slightly at this, a flash of azure blue flickering in her eyes, as she sized Xu Qing up from head to toe.
That's when she discovered Xu Qing's soul was locked, tucked away in a corner of his sea of consciousness.
Thankfully, he hadn't truly lost his soul, so it was manageable.
However, this method of soul-locking was quite interesting.
His soul was placed under a lock, and this lock had a key.
As long as the person with the key wished, they could manipulate Xu Qing at will, and Xu Qing would be like a walking corpse, completely obedient.
