En Sabah Nur wore a cloak, deliberately maintaining an air of mystery.
Speaking in a language from three thousand years ago, he attempted to calm the small disturbance with the authority and prestige of his former glory. Unsurprisingly, no one bought it.
Not a single person present could understand what this ancient relic was saying, and as for Apocalypse's once-fearsome reputation—it had long since vanished into the dust of history.
An enraged victim even pulled out a knife and threatened Apocalypse.
Since becoming a so-called "living god," when had En Sabah Nur ever suffered such humiliation?
He merely flicked his finger.
The sand embedded in the wall flowed like water, brushing lightly across the victims' necks. It looked gentle and harmless—yet in the next instant, several heads were severed cleanly from their bodies.
The man who had threatened Apocalypse with a knife nearly wet himself in terror. He immediately surrendered and begged for forgiveness.
Unfortunately, En Sabah Nur did not accept apologies.
His pupils turned white. The wall behind the man seemed to come alive, swallowing him whole—leaving only his face exposed. He was buried alive inside the wall.
Ororo Munroe was completely stunned by the sight. Outside the screen, the players and audience were equally dumbfounded.
"Wow," Tony Stark clicked his tongue in amazement.
"This guy really lives up to the name Apocalypse. That villain-boss aura is off the charts."
To be fair, Apocalypse didn't even need to move—just a flick of his fingers and a glance, and he could manipulate matter at the molecular level. The sheer presence screamed I haven't even attacked yet—why are you already dead?
Bruce Banner shook his head in awe.
"Mutants almost seem like aliens… No wonder he calls himself a god. He really does possess near-divine power. Molecular-level matter manipulation? My God—if that were used in synthesis experiments, it would be far superior to those bulky laboratory machines!"
Erik, Homelander, and Natasha Romanoff all gave Bruce strange looks.
It could only be said that Bruce Banner's way of thinking, as a scientist, was truly unique. While normal people focused on Apocalypse being nearly invincible, Bruce was already thinking about replacing lab equipment.
Tony Stark gave him a thumbs-up.
"Not a bad idea, Bruce. Honestly, your logic checks out."
Natasha and the others were left speechless, mentally concluding that normal people really couldn't keep up with scientists.
Back in the future footage, Ororo Munroe brought Apocalypse back to her home.
Although his ruthless display had frightened her, it was the first time she had encountered another mutant in the city. Grateful for his help—and seeing that he seemed homeless—she effectively "picked up" this three-thousand-year-old relic and brought him back with her.
Ororo's home was extremely humble. Several other children lived there as well—likely her "followers," or children she supported.
This showed that although Ororo lived in harsh conditions and survived by stealing, she still possessed genuine kindness.
A portrait of Mystique was posted on the wall, labeled as her hero.
Communication between her and Apocalypse was like chickens talking to ducks—they didn't share a language. Still, Ororo demonstrated her intelligence: despite her young age, she spoke three foreign languages fluently.
Apocalypse was drawn to the television. He stepped forward and touched the screen.
In the hands of this ancient being, modern technology became a conduit—an antenna through which he absorbed the knowledge of the present age.
Watching Apocalypse rapidly grasp modern society through a single television, Tony Stark laughed.
"Looks like he's got built-in artificial intelligence. That data-processing speed is impressive."
Erik Lehnsherr frowned grimly.
"A tyrant like this, awakening so suddenly—what will he bring to mutantkind?"
"Famine. War. Pestilence. Death," Natasha Romanoff said quietly.
"The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse… I thought of it earlier. That's straight out of the Bible."
Tony Stark glanced at Magneto with interest.
"So, Erik—care to guess which Horseman you'd be? Death? Or War?"
Erik Lehnsherr gave him a cold look.
"I am myself. I am no one's subordinate."
In any case, this was a future he would never accept.
In the footage, after understanding the modern world, Apocalypse spoke with disdain:
"This world has forgotten the true god… and instead worships false idols and celebrities. I have returned."
On the television, footage played of Magneto attempting to assassinate the U.S. President at the White House. Apocalypse stared at Erik Lehnsherr on the screen, remembering the mutant who had boldly stood before the entire world.
Ororo watched him, confused.
"This world needs to be cleansed," Apocalypse murmured.
"What did you say?"
"I said… this world needs to be saved."
He quickly changed his words, clearly manipulating the young girl.
But Ororo had her own thoughts. With surprising maturity, she lectured him:
"Saving the world isn't about killing people. This world has laws and order. Killing has consequences."
Apocalypse gazed at her.
"My child, why do you bind yourself with such limitations?"
He slowly raised his hand, lifting Ororo's chin. Sunlight streamed through the window, enveloping him in a holy glow, as though draping him in divine radiance.
Nervously, Ororo asked,
"What are you going to do?"
"Make you stronger… my goddess."
En Sabah Nur's eyes turned white—like a cataract patient's—signaling the activation of his power.
Ororo cried out in amazement as her black hair slowly turned snow-white.
Outside the screen, Erik Lehnsherr's eyes widened.
"What is he doing? He can enhance other mutants?"
"It certainly looks that way," Tony Stark said gravely.
"No wonder he was the first mutant in history. His abilities are truly terrifying."
Natasha Romanoff added in a low voice,
"No wonder his followers were so fanatically loyal. Being handed immense power for free—who could resist that temptation?"
Homelander was openly envious. If Apocalypse enhanced him, wouldn't he be able to crush Superman?
At the same time, he grew even more excited at the thought of winning the quiz game—after all, victory also promised enhancement.
Only Bruce Banner noticed another troubling detail.
"He said the world needs to be cleansed… What does that really mean? Is he planning to destroy the entire world?"
